I have both the King Arthur Flour Baker's Companion and their Cookie companion book and these are the books I turn to most of the time. I have never been disappointed in any recipe and recommend the books to other people I know. For unfailing recipes these very large books are where you should go first! Some of my cooking books may come and go, but these will never leave my kitchen. I can't think of a better investment.

My sister, who had at one time worked at King Arthur and who now bakes professionally, gave this book to me as a gift. We've never eaten so well! For the Zephyr Pancakes ALONE, you should consider getting this monster of a cook book, which is likely to supplant the one you currently use.
There are a lot of helpful hints, and the background information is wonderful. And despite the fact that the company markets baking products, including flour, the book is NOT an overgrown product guide or advertisement ... just an EXCELLENT resource and collection of winning recipes.

Bought for my mother-in-law. She's very happy with it and said that it includes wonderful illustrations and easily referenced info. It has many little tid-bits of information that are very helpful to a person who loves to cook! Worth the time and money to have on hand!

With most Cookbooks you'll get two or three really good recipes that you can use a lot. With this one, their all good. I heard that this is the standard that other bake books try to measure up to. I wasn't mislead, prime text information source. Great investment in great taste.

I have been looking for some time for a good baking cook book. For items such as waffles, muffins, breads etc. I love King Arthur products so I thought I would try this book. I LOVE it! Everything I have made so far has been wonderful. I am so glad that I got this book!

My ten year old granddaughter was shown this book and wanted it. So, I purchased it for her for her birthday. Her Grandfather became very interested in it and so I had to purchase one for him. They are now having bake-offs on the weekends with each other. A great book with all the answers...

I've only glanced at this book, but am the recipient of some wonderful food prepared by my wife, who swears by it. She has a copy borrowed from her sister, but is afraid her sister may want it back, and dropped some heavy hints about getting her own copy for Christmas. On that basis and sampling the output from the recipies therein, I can highly recommend this book.

king arthur bakers companioni know it is a great book i had taken it out othe local library at least twice the price was right and the seller said it was in excellent shape which was true i am quite satisfied
