great movie. best king arthur movie ive seen. great action. a movie you can watch more than once. i have a seller on ebay who has greatbuys on movies,used and new. its about king arthur and the knights of the round table. they fight merlin and the saxsons in great britain. they win their freedom from rome. they have one last big battle against the saxons. king artur and his knights defeat merlinand take control of england. arthur takes gunivere as his queen and they rule england.

This is an excellent version of the King Arthur saga with a nod to the possible historical roots of the Arthurian legend. Great action sequences and a story line that actually draws you into the characters. The knights themselves are each individuals with unique fighting styles and personalities. The directors cut is definitely the version to get, but to graphic for the younger crowd. Parents should watch it forst and decide for themselves what they're okay with.

These knights have fought for freedom for a long time. They are very passionate for what they believe in. They have been denied their freedom for too long, and to go up against the Saxons is a huge task. I love their bravery and their courage. When they finally have the freedom that they so desire is within their grasp, they stand with King Arthur to finally destroy the Saxons. The only thing I didn't like was that the knights didn't stand with King Arthur right away. Merlin with his fighters along with Guinevere finally stand with King Arthur to do what is right to fight the Saxons, and to finish them off once and for all. With the marriage of Guinevere and King Arthur all humans will be free to live the lives they so desire. I give this movie an A.

I'm into the whole "mideavel" time period of kings, knights and dragons. The truth, fairy tales and legends. I bought this movie because I had started watching it on television one day before going to work and never got to finish watching it, I could'nt find it at any of the local video stores so I found it on ebay. The only thing I didn't like about it was that it was too short. I thought it should've gone further into the story and deeper into the knights of the round table.

This movie is more true to life than any other previous stories of Kinf arthur. It was well written and historical fatcual as a Person will find when dividing myth from truth.

I watch this movie religously. I watch it in the background while cleaning. I actually watched it three times in one day. I like this movie because it a bit different than the typical King Arthur movie.Another reason is that CLive Owen is oh so sexy and handsome and manly and just everything good looking.

Arthur shares his nobility with unique constituencies in compassion to the proletariat; seemingly a special person on a mission from Rome.
I found that Arthur's troubles maybe complex but he makes his decisions as we ride along. He worships alone yet if we want we can follow, to paint a scene from my memory (maybe not from the script) where a knight follows to question both his discern and to ask why Arthur always has to go pray or something, instead of directly discussing things with him, or with any of the other Russian knights.
I think ths Arthurs best line is to the peasants and their guards as Arthur steps up his commanding pace finds orders contradicting his leadership, he tells to all "Understand this!; You were free from the day you were born".

From The Introduction we are informed,"There is a legend that the spirit of a fallen knight will return to a horse in a time of battle; And a knight knows that the horse will protect him""(they are trained well), and this horse will know well the call of the battle. You will see this if you pay close attention near the end.

and I will add that the Saxons are invading as Arthur's return is to be in Rome.
In Arthur's final battle he has joined forces with his former resisting force, a "Woad" band who some sources say as another name for "Picts"; to battle the immediate common enemy.

Grasping "Truth or Legend" out of.., A STORY, thats the real truth!

Story line was difficult to follow. Characters were difficulty to tell apart. A bad cross between a version of Robin Hood and Braveheart. Would not recommend and will sell it or give it away.

The story is very different, with the same characters, but not predictable like previous versions. I really enjoyed where they took us in this journey of Arthur. The actors were wonderful! His knights are each wonderful character studies in themselves... and Gwenivere's introduction was very unpredicable. Don't expect much the same from the previous films made - this was a refreshing new tale - a very believable story for that time period. Must see!

Clive Owen was great and so war Kiera and Ioan ( i forgot he was Mr, Stretch from the fantanstic four. he did an amazing job in this film.

This is a good movie for those who like movies or books about the Camelot and King Arthur time period. It is one of my favorite movies and I counldn't wait to own it.

This DVD was great! The extended time added to the overall storyline a rich context. This dvd also has some cool extras and commentaries. Always loved the knights and the round table. This movie takes it in a different direction by telling the story in a perspective that only historians would view as interesting. They did a great job of making it applicable to everyone.

I really enjoyed the movie. I had seen this movie on TV earlier and I liked it so much I had to purchased it. I do not know how much truth in the story but I felt it was very good. I like this movie better than most other movies showing or telling about the same time in Endland history.

The movie is in great condition and it is what I ordered. I actually was looking for the extended version that aired on TV. It's just odd to me that the DVD would be the edited version.

Now this one was a real surprise considering the legends we've all heard about Arthur and his friend Lancelot. The violence was truly the work of Jerry Bruckheimer's producing but you really felt as though these men were fighting for a genuine cause worthy of losing their lives for the sake of others. Clive Owen is the standout front and center character with the rest of the cast merging with his Arthuristic ideals.
