(NOTE: This is NOT- The: "Directors Cut) No Widescreen view" or the few extras trivial viewpoints, or the production info. That's "ANOTHER-Cut DVD"
NOW IN GENERAL ABOUT THIS TRUE STORY:
A)Added this as "My Self Help Table"-to King Arthur!
B)Since we have a manufactured element of truth, myth, & legend; the following quote I've found to be good medicine~!~ from auther Joseph Campbell
"The real King Arthur might have been but the heroic mythical journey of the literary Arthur still has great relevance today".
Joseph Campbells's study of both King Arthur myth and legends helped contribute much influence to bringing these characters to life for this film.
From the ancient manuscripts-King Arthur rings in as "Arturious".
The production goal: to set a place in life where the legends could begin.
"Reading into this" for the Legends or other "truths" may be the only real true magic!
This is a real blending of Truth & Ages of Legend
Its a very tough good-will.
-The movie is about Arthur and his life in one small episode..
..And a call that only those that choose can hear.
There is still allot to assume.
There was a soldier in Rome with an "Artuhrious" name.
Lucius Artorius Castus.
King Arthur! (!__!^^^!__!) Imagine that ...
NOW,to continue; With this,the basic story to the film itself;
First I wondered before I ever previewed King Arthur "The True Story",
"what is this Arthur going to be like in truth?"
What will we see~?~[King Arthur- the Missionary or the Mercenary?]
In my opinion, this Arthur shares his nobility with unique constituencies in compassion to the proletariat. "A special person on a mission from Rome."
I found that Arthur's troubles maybe complex but he makes his decisions as we ride along.
He worships alone, yet if we want we can follow, to paint a scene(from my memory and not the script) where a knight follows to question both his discern and to ask why Arthur always has to go pray or something, instead of directly discussing things with him, or with any of the other Russian knights.
I think ths Arthurs best line is to the peasants and their guards as Arthur steps up to lead and finds the orders contradict his leadership he tells to all "Understand this!; You were free from the day you were born".
"every young man that has heard about the stories and tales all over the world could have some moment of idea inthe thought of being a "king arthur".
Everything has been refined to some degree , choosing the actors ,the rehearsals , the equipment , the timeing.
Artist Brilliance?
(I found this to be an great film to watch over the winter holliday seasons. The family gatherings in the film accommodate this atmosphere very well!)
Fuqua does set a good stage in King Arthur;Examples~ On the battle scene setting from a glacier pass, he splits the vewers path to sure footing with the sound on the crackling ice and the only route of escape ; Step behind the gates of Hadrian's Wall; the gates may open and welcome you to what looks like an empty tomb, or a ghosttown, but you know there is something out-there...and you know its Arthur!
Boldly With The Record of The Ancient Manuscripts! Thats what I wanted to see, but I did not. I thought I was going to see a documentary.
Fuqua once master of the documentary... maybe this will set the stage for a narrative sequel King Arthur True Stories!
