Kindling the Celtic Spirit by Mara Freeman (2001, Hardcover, Illustrated)

I purchased this book as a birthday gift for my sister who is an avid collector of Irish history and cultural information. Before sending it on, I read much of it and found it to be quite interesting. There are traditional Irish recipes, a lot of information about the Celtic calendar and daily rituals from the ancient times that still may be found in isolated areas of Ireland. The author is a university professor and also an arch druidist in the United States. Though Druidism is not something I follow, the daily beliefs of the Celts were interesting.

The only drawback, is that I wish there had been more color pictures inside the book as shown on the cover!
