Killzone 2 (Playstation 3, 2009)

This is an awesome game. I would recommend it to anyone. The graphics in this game are great.

Very fun to play and you will spend many hours playing this one.

Singleplayer

The singleplayer has a nice story but negligible, especially scores the game with a grand look, exciting battles, beautiful artdesign, fine sound and a decent portion tactics (cover, alternative routes, etc.). The whole is but a matter of taste, it is rather a bleak scenario, the atmosphere in the future, playing Call of Duty is not large and Boss monsters, aliens and / or offers varied scenarios. You fight in a war against the Helghast, on an inhospitable planet, it's dusty, drecking and gray! Thus, the entire color palette of the game described. Jungle? Beach? Colorful colors? Nothing doing! It is only logical for the developers, I like the scenario, no, I love it, others could make the whole graphically quickly find boring.

The AI (Artificial Intelligence) of the soldiers is a beautiful, at least on higher difficulty levels. It is flanked to cover gehechtet, the positions changed and where barrage. Man himself is constantly under pressure, is forced into the cover and is also due to the mission objectives is always forced to move. An extremely exciting and challenging shooter in a class.

What do not like is that you are always only a small weapon and a large weapon may carry. At least two large would have been desirable. The problem, I suppose shot, I'm the enemy in me from the distant beharken, badly off, I take the sniper rifle, the soldier in me rankommen hard to defeat. The strong opponents, the levels varied - you are constantly ahead of other challenges and need a weapon which can do because you only have a slot. What remains are light and heavy machine guns. A pity because the variety of weapons is here!

Another point of the Singleplayer - the enemies are quite differently. Rarely there is armor, drones, or otherwise designed elite troops. Here a little variety would have done well, finally, is the color / level also quite differently.

Another point of criticism: For Release no co-op mode!

Despite the criticisms Killzone is a game in Singleplayer grenade and gleams with crisp groovy gameplay.

MULTIPLAYER

For me THE REASON TO BUY! The servers are not yet online, but I have with bots tried pretty much everything. The maps are fantastic designs! Diversified, narrow streets meet vast fields with tremendous vision, there are countless freischaltbare classes, weapons and special powers. These rankings, clans, PlayStation league etc! The best is but the dynamic gameplay! No multiplayer shooter offers these dynamics. You play not just Capture the Flag or Teamdeatmatch - the goals are constantly changing. It begins and must e.g. Centers are taking, after 5 min is obtained by radio command a particular opposing player auzuschalten and one from his team to protect, then you have a radio in the base bring. There are umpteen different goals / missions. Constantly in motion, you have to adapt, rearrange, tactically different approach! GRANDIOS!


They play all the classes are different and all equally important tactically! Mark sniper targets, Commander seztzen on the map additional spawn points in connection with the dynamic missions really bring spice inside, there are healers, saboteurs, etc.!

I have a lot of multiplayer games a lot and long gezockt, Killzone 2 is an Gears of War, Halo or Call of Duty 4 loose (!) In the bag! For me the multiplayer reference.

Rating: 10/10

Something like three enemies attack repeatedly in very similar environments.

Is this what modern FPS's all have to play exactly like? Complete lack of story, just get in there and do the same repetitive thing in a gloomy, uninteresting world.

Totally disappointed. I want to kick whoever designed this in the balls.

This is a prime example of an amazing First-Person-Shooter. It lacks two player split screen, but the Online Multiplayer and Campaign modes more than make up for it. This is a must have for any First-Person-Shooter fan or Playstation 3 owner in genera.

Warning: The game uses the "F" Word pretty frequently, so maybe not for kids.

The game reaches a simply amazing performance and full of entertainment. The soundtrack and audio are as good as the look of the game, and the result is a crazy experience. An intense campaign, hours and hours of fun in multiplayer and chaos fueled by many great shots in the pending exclusive the console from Sony.

I'm new to this franchise, and am quite impressed. The control feel is superb reminds me of cod4. Insane amounts of bad guys!! The helghans wont freakin stand still so i can blow their heads off. Takes some getting used to and it makes for a more challenging battle sequence. So far i prefer 1 gun over the rest, i sure hope they offer better choices as i progress. overall i love this game, the only way it could be tops in our house is if it had a coop campaign. Not everyone enjoys dealing death online!!

Graphics are amazing and campaign is better than expected, but you may not care about many of the characters other than the main protagonist, Sev. However, aiming is a little bit awkward in the single-player, but doesn't transfer to the online play, where it feels totally normal. The online play is fun, but can get to be repetitive if played for an hour or more.

Killzone 2 is an exceptional first-person shooter, not because it does anything particularly new, but because it does everything extraordinarily well. There's certainly no doubting its graphical superiority, but though its moody visuals invite incessant superlatives, it's the tight, electric action that will make this an off- and online haven.

I was definately impressed with the game. graphics are awesome and the blood is all over the place. :-)

At first I loved this game and then realized that there really wasn't that much to it. I really felt like I wanted to like it because of all the hype and not because it was actually a good game. Stick to COD.

THIS GAME IS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME. MY FRIEND WORKS FOR GUERILLA AND I GOT TO PLAY IT BEFORE ANYONE ELSE!!!! TOTAL REALITY IMMERSION. THE CHARACTERS ARE SO WELL DRAWN TOO. NATKO IS DEFINITELY MY FAVOURITE THOUGH. GET IT BEFORE ANYONE ELSE SPOILS THE ENDING FOR YOU.

It's Sony's attempt to counter the whole "360's got Halo" or "Halo invented _____" that all the kids who were too young to be around for Doom, Unreal, Quake (and even Duke or Sam) always claims. The game boasts some great graphics, wonderful animation from the player's perspective (actual interactions with doors, ladders, and the such); the campaign sets you up for what will be part 3 eventually.
But it's the 32 player online games that are the real gem here! There is so much to do and even though it has 5 game modes the fact that they can all be cycled through in one match makes it fresh, though long. And the idea you can mix class skills is a joy.

The graphics in this game are top notch. I really cannot think of another games that really gives me a greater thrill when I do get that head shot. Also, the game is still pretty darn hard even on normal for the casual gamer, which mean that it always has you on the edge of your seat. One complaint that I do have (and in my opinion is pretty big) is that the controls are quite slow. Every other FPS seems to respond quicker than this game. Game play does become more difficult in my opinon then, and I know I am not the only one to say this. Overall though, FANTASTIC game and it comes from me as a very high recommendation.

This is a game for serious gamers, especially gun type gamers. There are no auto-matic aiming which is a little more sinuous but much better in my opinion. All in all it's an ill game.

Game Game is fast paced and full of action!! Its not too hard but not too easy. Amazing grafix!! I see details that i normally wouldnt see and the detail to the characters themselves are out of this world. A must have game for the PS3!

This is one of my favorite first person shooters, linear game play makes it very fast paced. Graphics are amazing, love this game. Buy it

Terrible game, Terrible franchise, with terrible developers, graphics, sound, controls and feel. DO NOT buy Killzone2

...I must say Killzone 2 has some neat visuals and the online play is neat and fresh. There 5 different stages of a match, Body Count(team death match), Assassination(kill one specific enemy or protect one of your team mate), capture and hold 3 locations(war) and a couple of others I can't think of right now. I really love this aspect of the game play and you can even do this by yourself and it still feels like you're playing online(a good way to practice).
The real problem with this game are the weapons and the aiming. If you've ever played Call Of Duty 2, 4 or 5 then this game is going to be a nightmare for you. It's blurry and the aiming is rediculous. To me that's a deal breaker and after 3 days I just couldn't stand the frustration anymore!
I believe if the PS3 had a controller that felt and re-acted the way the XBOX 360 controller does then this game may be worth a real shot(no pun intended). However, with the short analog sticks of the PS3 controller it's almost impossible to have an accurate shot in KILLZONE 2.

This is one of the best shooter/action game yet, I really enjoy it and I would advice anyone who has a liking for games like this to get it.

I love this game in all aspect. I decide to purchase this game becasue I like action. Wich this game have everything I was looking for and more. Recommend this game to the people that looking for action.
