This is the best Cambodian movies ever made. This movie is about civil war which occur in Cambodia in the late '70s and moreover, it's also about friendship. I'd recommend this movie for anyone regardless if you like action, romantic or horror films, this movie has it all.

Heartreaking, sobering true story of what happened in Cambodia in the mid-70's, about the relationships developed within the international press community, about the trials & struggles of one Cambodian medical doctor who worked toward saving his family, many others, and eventually himself. A hard look at how strong one's commitment to truth & survival can be.

This is a must see movie that much of the world and our American society is so ill informed about. Although it is incredibly sad and horrific it depicts what the poor people of Cambodia had to endure with much of the world not even aware of this genocide by one of our history's most evil dictators. This was southeast Asia's holocaust! God bless the living family members because I have been told that there is not one living Cambodian person today who did not have at least 1 family member killed by this regime.

i have this movie on vhs and i wanted it on dvd. i hadn't been able to find it anywhere till i came across it on ebay. thank goodness i did cause its one of my favorite movies.

I recently visited Cambodia with my wife and went to The Killing Fields. It was disturbing to hear and see what happen there. Over 3 million people were killed. This is more than Adolf Hittler ever killed. I told my wife that they made a movie about it and she wanted to see it so I bought this copy on ebay. It is based on a true story and it is a excellent movie. I was working in Thailand when all this happen in 1975.

A true story and great acting, you can't go wrong, you'll be able to watch it straight through so shut off the phone and enjoy, it will make you laugh and cry. It doesn't get much better than this story! I bought this DVD for my wifes collection! 5 out of 5 stars!! AAAAA+++++

One of my all time favorite movies! If you havent seen it. Take three hours to really study it, And realise it's all real. It's amazing both good and bad. Then write Sid Schanburg and Dith Pran a note at The New York times and say Thanks for sharing.

I cried like I couldnt cry anymore! This really touched me, the acting and performace of what actually had taken place is a REAL EYE OPENER! This is surely a must have for any collection!

The ugly side of man rears its head showing a side that belays the fact that animals are one step above on the ladder of decency, purpose, and fairness.

Human life is displayed as being cheap. Humans killing other humans as if they were nothing more than defenseless insects. This film shows the lowest form of human dignity and decency when people with authority are greedy and want more and more authoritive power over others. There is a storyline plot lurking in the background and it is political if not daring. It is as if mankind in that part of the world has been held on the lease for so long that once broken of that lease destroys with demonic fury.

This film depicts what humans can become at their worst and yet the film also depicts a lack of hopelessness and despair on the victoms.

I am a Vietnam Marine Corps veteran and later an actor that played in several top rated film. I am a very good judge of what happened in that part of the world during that period of time the Killing Fields where about and can judge the reality of the film and the realism of how it was done.. Excellent film and the ebay member I received it from did a very nice job of getting it to me in a short amount of time.. Stan

I liked the movie but the dvd freezes up and I lost about 15 minutes of the movie. The seller has not responded to my emails about this purchase or about another movie that had the same problems with it. The seller claims in his ads that he will replace any defective dvd's but has ignored my requests for replacements.
