The taut electro-reggae of "Electric Avenue" propelled the album into the upper reaches of the charts on both sides of the Atlantic, but KILLER ON THE RAMPAGE is a remarkably consistent album that contains pleasures beyond its inescapable lead single. The fearsome "War Party" successfully melds slippery funk with crisp New Wave production values while "Funky Rock N' Roll" serves as an unswerving statement of Grant's multicultural musical agenda.
