This is one that everyone should read. It is an older book that is a classic that many of us missed when we were younger.

I originally purchased this book because I was going to alter it and give it as a birthday gift to my best friend. This is her ALL TIME favorite book. I had only seen the movie before and never read the book, that is, until it arrived! It was such a beautiful book, too pretty to alter, and my husband wanted to read it BEFORE I started cutting it up, glueing things in and writing in it. He RAVED so much about it that I had to read it too.
This is a book that each and every person NEEDS to read yearly to learn or refresh our memories about MERCY and TOLERANCE! Atticus Finch, a character in the book can certainly teach us how to act in situations that we think are unjust and unfair.
The characters in this book are so defined and the book is so well written that you truly will feel their feelings and you can picture them. The book is timeless, but yet it will take you back to a time in history that is a part of our past.
This is a MUST read. By the way, I could NOT alter this book, I had to come up with another one for that project.
