Wonderful Childrens movie, imaginative!!!
I had seen this movie in the past and others by the same director, like "my friend totoro" These stories are so rich in imagination, beautiful images, and creative stories that can only help enrich your life and your childs. They show strong independant children as characters who encounter unusual situations. In the case of Kiki, she is about 14 and a witch who needs to go out in the world and live independantly to become a full fledged witch. Not a bad one, a very sweet one. The movie celebrates those who are different instead of alienating them. I love this movie enough to own it as an adult, and I never tire of watching it over and over. This is a treasure in a small package, and I highly recommend it to ANYONE! I think that traditional kids animated movies are ususally so formulated, this movie is NOT predictable and brings you into a wonderful world where little things are celebrated and appreciated.
