Kids (DVD, 2000)

One of my all time favorites. Tellie and casper are interesting. Buy it watch it and then watch it again. Keeps you interested in the story. Makes you think about things a lot of adult situations. Drugs, Violence,and sexual situations.

I saw this years ago and was really shocked but when I found a copy on ebay I thought it would be a important film for my teen son to watch. I beleive the film shows careless kids playing with fire. It really made a impact on my son. He said now he knows why we have "The Talk" all the time and why protection is so important. Maybe the movie was just made to shock but the way the world is today I think it helps the kids really see how important safe sex is.

excellent movie. this film is timeless. the stuff that happens in this film still personifies america's youth today.

PROVOCATIVE!! A MUST SEE for all!! Is somewhat graphic in nature, but shows the "behind-the-scenes" per say, look at the lives of many teenagers...even those whom appear innocent. This film was originally Rated-17, but then became unrated, I assume due to the reality of it. Like I said, it has some graphic content, but it shows teens and parents how good situations can turn bad, in a real life setting. It is a 1995 film and looks older, but it will definitely keep your interest all the way through. If you like honesty, you'll love this film!

Not nearly as good or disturbing as "Bullies" but still contains the usual Larry Clark touch, sex,violence and dysfunctional teenages. If your a collector of Clark's films you'll want this one otherwise just worth a rental.

This is a very interesting movie. Directed by Larry Clark this movie takes a look at the lives of several teenagers living in a big city. Not intended for younger children, this movie has drug use, sex, violence, and rape. It is a shocking wake up call for the world and I highly recommend it. I bought this movie becuse I remember seeing it ages ago(actually I recorded it on my scrambled HBO channel =D )and I enjoyed it very much. Anyone who is thinking about purchasing this movie be warned it is graphic but well worth the price of admission.

I saw this movie years ago on TV. When I started watching it, I couldn't stop. It makes you cry and makes your heart hurt to know that this is the way alot of our children and youth are acting. As someone already stated, it is good, educational, and distubing at the same time. But it is a movie that I do believe that our teenagers should be watching. As I was growing up, this type of stuff was just not discussed. I refuse to do the same for my children. We can't just tell our children not to do something and leave it at that, we have to be all up in our children and teenagers business, because they are getting pregnant younger and younger. They are having sex and not knowing what they are doing, and if we are not teaching our children, then the media will teach them. So we have to really look at what will help our children and youth. But don't try to sugar coat it, because the youth these days already know alot, and we have to be honest with them, and be real with them if we want to catch their attention. And this movie is defenately an attention catcher. It woke me up as a youth, and I am sure that it will help many other youth as well. It is pretty explicit and loads of profanity, but it is not like they don't hear it everyday anyway, if not on TV, then in the music, and sometimes even in the home, even though you think they don't. Young people hear everything!!! Even when you think they are not around. So if that is a deciding factor, I would say go for it!! All teenagers need to see this movie!! It may change their life.

The movie is good, educational, and disturbing all at the same time.. I wouldn't let young children watch it.. I don't think there is another movie out there that impacted me the way in which this film has.. Plus the soundtrack isn't half bad if you like Folk Implosion or animal noises..

dont let youngins watch this but a good movie for teens to watch that live life to fast who are careless with drugs and sex or who you think may die young if they dont slow down a wake up call

reflects the life or urban kids growing up in the streets of New York City. However, i would not recommend it for kids under the age of 21 due to its explicit language and scenes.

I Bought This movie 3 weeks ago and I love it. It shows the reality of what realy goes on when mom and dad arent paying attention. It takes a special kind of person to enjoy Larry Clarks work. I decided to buy this DVD because i saw it on TV about 10 years ago and havent seen it since.

it does have a point to it. It is hard to believe things like that can happen with our kids. Parents who are naive to the fact that not all kids are angels.

I love this movie, it has a good point....and shows parents how kids today are growing up. It reminds us to ask where and with whom our kids are doing/hanging out with.

This film is as real as it get about american youth. It deals with the reality of teen behavoir for this time of the world.

This is a different kind of movie. I would call it a wake up call. This movie to me is great because it shows how I used to live my life when I was that age. The only real differences between the movie and my life was the HIV part and I am from Chicago, not New York City. Either way this movie will make you grow up a little inside. It is a VERY accurate portrayal of a group of teenagers who feel they are invincible while they are young and feel there are no consequences for their actions. I would recommend this movie to anyone who lived the party lifestyle as I did. If you watch this movie and don't grow up a little, then you have problems.

This movie is, in my eyes, a must see. Not only is it entertaining but the message it shares with the audience is one that is really important. Teens especially should watch this so that they realize the dangers that surround them; sadly most parents are too conservative to allow their kids to view the material.

This is a very accurate account of the lives of New York City teens, and any teenager in general, and the challenges they face due to peer pressure and social ignorance.

The movie just wasn't what I thought it would be about. It would be good for teens but I'm way past that.

It is an Amazing Movie that tells the truth, I didn't used to get it when I watched it in my youth but I got the idea you have to watch sexual behavior wise with women and MEN need to be watched even more. I got the Always use Condoms No MATTER WHAT idea and it truly thought more then my school did in my youth. I think schools need to show this movie for real life because it can happen anywhere like that not just inner city like it was teaching, it happened a whole different way but same thing in my country town.
Must watch I truly believe we are a uneducated because when we teach we don't let the kids know the truth, the reality on how it happens and can happen, this Shows REAL LIFE and I believe it can help Millions more if used right ! I'm a Adult now and need to use more precautions but this would have helped my friends in there youth understand the things needed to do if they are doing something before they are married.

There isn't really too much to say about this movie except you got to watch it to believe it. It's amazing what teenagers will do when they don't have any supervision. It is a good movie.

i think this movie should be watched by everybody who comes across the chance to watch it. it is a real eye opener

What I love about this product is the movie was a good movie,it's a classic what I didn't like was the fact the DVD was a used copy, but not in good viewing quality and it took was too long for delivery

I haven't seen this in a looooooooong time. I hope it's as good as I remember it being. Pretty intense at times if I remember correctly.

I love this movie!!! Reminds me of when I was a kid. I like seeing the young Rosario Dawson in her first film.
