Great speakers, though highs not that great
Review created: 02/25/09(updated 04/03/09)
I just bought a pair of these to replace my front door speakers, which are Kenwood KFC-C1739ie's. I got these for their higher power handling. The only drawback is that the frequency response is 10,000Hz lower than the speakers I'm replacing (which I only used for 2 months). But since I just bought better tweeters, I suppose the ultra-high frequency response loss is no big deal. Yes, these are truly awesome speakers! I do tons of research before I buy any speakers, and these are rated quite high and have excellent specs. The loss in highs in made up for in better sensitivity, which is more important anyway. I'll soon be running them off a Kenwood KAC-7204 1000-watt amp! Of course I'll have the gains down a bit and will be running a Clarion crossover so they will NOT get overworked.
