Nice Vac

We purchased this vac to supplement our Dyson Animal DC14. We needed something to do the 2 sets of stairs and under the beds in our house, and this fits the bill. The roller is very powerful, which is great for digging the pet fur out of the carpet, and it does a great job of getting under low clearance areas without having to pull stuff out or lift it up.
There are negatives too, though. The suction is average, and the bags are pretty small, so they fill up quickly and will clog the hose with quickness if you wait too long to change the bag. As opposed to the other poster, I bought a huge pack of 10 bags for my vac at the Sears store the same day I got the vac, and I opted for the paper bags. The cloth are nicer and have better filtration of allergens, but because the bags fill up so quickly, the cloth bags are a MUCH more expensive option. Both styles of bags are regularly stocked at all of the Sears' around here that I have seen so far.
We paid around $270 for our vac new and on sale, but if you have a Sear scratch and dent where you are - check them out first. I found 3 of them there for only $150 each and all the same warranties and maintenance agreements apply. Just a tip. All in all, a decent vac, but would not be hearty enough for our house by itself.

Kenmore Canister Vacuum is a nice unit. I like most stuff about it. The machine itself is made sturdy but has a feel of being a cheap plastic unit however it has held up to daily use and abuse.
It is over priced however. We paid over $350 for it directly from our local SEARS yet they do not carry the vacuum dirt collection bags. We had to order them online from SEARS.COM which you are tacking on that added expense of S&H.
2 bags per pack.
Myself, I prefer upright vac's however the man of the house insists on THIS canister vac which is ok as we made a deal. He said that IF we could get rid of our upright with dirct collection cup (no bag), and buy this vacuum, he'd do the vacuuming. Hot diggity dog! I couldn't pass up a deal like that!

This older model canister vacuum was rated very high to excellent by consumer reviewers when it originally came out. I still own an old Kenmore canister vacuum. It got excellent reviews when it was new too, except for wand handle comfort and noise, but it really cleans well. This newer model cleans well too, as well as having a comfortable wand handle and is very quiet. It is also more compact and lighter to pull around (great for my back). I would still be using the old Kenmore if the mechanical/electrical connectors on the wand hadn't broken. But this newer vacuum is great! I had to buy a manual for it, which has been a hassle (according to Sears Parts Direct there are 3 parts to the manual. There website doesn't show this), but it IS an older vacuum.

good productThis was a great product for the price. Bought it on ebay cheaper than any other store. I like that it is easy to use and light weight. I actually bought it for my mom because she had a heavy upright and wanted something easier to use.
