Kelly's Heroes (DVD, 2000, Clint Eastwood Collection)

It is a funny movie about World War II. I enjoyed the characters, especially oddball, played by Donald Sutherland. Clint Eastwood is always good.

My reason for buying the movie had nothing to do with the movie itself, but rather the uniforms used in the movie. The shoulder patches on the American soldiers indicated they were from the 35th infantry Division. This was the same Division in which my deceased father and uncle served in World War II. My uncle landed in Normany and went all thru Europe, ending up in Germany. The movie helps to stay connected.

I watched this as a kid when it first hit the big screen and loved it! This film has more up and comming stars than any other movie or film I can think of. Telly Savalas, who later to become the tough-guy detective with the slogan "who love ya baby" and then there's Carol O'Conner, who went on to play Archie in the hit TV series "All in the Fanily. Of course there's also Clint Eastwood, Alias-Dirty Harry (Do You Feel Lucky Punk? -Well Do You?) And there's also the talented Donald Sutherland, a major star from the M*A*SH TV series; as well as my all-time favorite Stand-Up Comedian, Don Rickels, who plays a card shark. Also stars the captain of the "Love Boat" Gavin MacLeod. This is a great action type war spoof that is so funny, and very exciting and entertaining! If you are a fan of the TV series "Hogan's Heroes" you will love this full length film version based on similiar premises-we beat the Germans!!!~USA-USA-USA!!!!

This was a film that both my father and grandfathers enjoyed watching again and again. I never knew what the big deal was until dad sat me down to watch it, and not only did I find the movie entertaining, but since then I've always kept an eye on the cable guides to see if and when channels like TCM or AMC might air it so I could see it again. That was almost twenty years ago, so imagine my delight when I found a great copy on DVD for a great price right here on ebay! The seller was very prompt in shipping it out, but it took a bit longer than I anticipated to arrive. Regardless of the wait, I popped it in as soon as it arrived. The quality of the film was great and there were no issues to speak of in terms of playing the film. If you happened to enjoy Tarantino's latest WWII romp "Inglorious Basterds", I recommend watching this film to get a fine taste of the type of films that were a major influence in making that film...

Great war comedy, which is rare and Clint Eastwood and the other great actors in this movie make it a classic.

I think that Kelly`s Heroes is one of the best war movies ever made. The all star cast meshes very well and the storyline with the bank heist in the latter days of World War II is a nice change of pace from the usual war movie storylines. I highly recommend Kelly`s Heroes to everyone, especially if they`re big Clint Eastwood and/or war movies fans.

Always a favorite of mine ! An all star cast of great actors, great detail in props and vehicles, the real deal. A fantacy come true !

ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES I HAVE EVER SEEN. I AM NOT INTO WAR MOVIES BUT THIS ONE IS GREAT. FIRST TIME I EVER SAW DONALD SUTHERLAND IN WHICH I FELL IN LOVE WITH HIM IN THIS MOVIE AS A WORLD WAR II HIPPIE. AWESOME MOVIE!!!!!

Great Movie! It was a movie that i have been looking for and found on ebay. It is a funny but yet good war movie. Clint Eastwood and Don Rickles play such excellent roles in this movie.

Clint Eastwood before the Dirty Harry days. This was filmed in 1970 and was all about WWII. I am not a "war" movie person. But this is a great movie. Soldiers fighting a war and putting together a plan to go beyond enemy lines to better themselves...an all around good movie. Telly Savalas is also great in this comical feature.

I received the movie very quickly after I sent in the check. It was the cheapest price Icould find for Kelly's Heroes. It was a good ebay experience

This movie is just plan good entertainmnet plus I like the theme song Burning Bridges. A lot of big name stars are in this film which makes it one of my favorites.

The movie was very good. I liked the part where they had that gun and they shot it yea, that was cool. And then there was this guy and he was like "Hey bla bla bla" all angry like and then every one laughed that was so funny.

I love this movie! Filled with great action actors and some that didn't do many movies. Clint Eastwood is at his best - young and tough! The story seems to be very believable, although some of the fighting action results seem impossible.

A spoof of WWII at the end of the war in Germany. A group of greedy sevice men attempt to pull a secret heist behind ememy lines and the whole war is back on from the general's headquarters.
