Kelly Slater's Pro Surfer (Game Cube, 2002)

Although it may not be my cup of tea, Kelly Slater’s Pro Surfer is a very original sports game, giving it something that is at least a must play.

Kelly Slater’s Pro Surfer has a variety of different levels, but unlike Tony Hawk’s skate parks, Kelly Slater’s Pro Surfer has just the waves, the waves differ depending on the level your at, and the creators say you will never see the same wave twice.

Although the Xbox and PS2 have some surfing games, this would be Gamecube’s first (and if you ask me it blows other surfing games out of the water.

It also boasts some nice graphics for the Gamecube (although the Xbox version is better) and sound as well.

Unlike most extreme sports games, Kelly Slater’s Pro Surfer has a storyline, however small that may be; it is still better than nothing.

All in all I would recommend this game if you are into extreme sports games, but some like myself would much rather stick to Tony Hawk.
