Keeping Up With The Steins (DVD, 2006)

I love the movie, Keeping Up With The Steins. The movie was about a jewish boy wanting his family with him for his bar mitzvah. His dad was distant from his father because he left his mom and him when he was a boy. Benjamin tries to unite his grandfather with his dad. But, when he comes to visit, his dad made him feel unwelcome. All kinds of things happen, his dad finds his father and girl friend in a hot tub naked. Benjamin and his grandfather almost get in a car accident. Even at the bar mitzvah party, both dad and grandfather were arguing so Benjamin jumps into swimming pool to the bottom trying to get them to stop arguing. After rescuing Benjamin, they realize it was silly to hold on to the past. I like the part when they were all dancing and singing at the end of the movie.
The movie was good because it showed the changes of Benjamin and his family.

This was a pretty funny movie. It has some pretty good character actors in it. There is one scene when the grandson catches his grandfather in the pool with his yound girlfriend.

I thought this was a hysterical movie! I loved the hypocrizy & the real meaning of a bar mitzvah! I bought this because I attended an ostantious bar mitzvah once, and it reminded me of this event!!!!

I purchased this DVD because it was recommended by friends. They told me it was very funny. Frankly, I thought it was okay - not as humorous as I had hoped.
