This delightful book fully met my expectations. Hyacinth and an etiquette book fit together perfectly. She uses her hapless neighbors and not-so-up-in-coming relatives as examples of how NOT to behave, of course, while showing you that HER way is the best by far.
Hyacinth's delightful, maddening, and totally intimidating manner make for a fun read. Propriety to the max. Great advice on how to keep up appearances, without a bit of substance to back it up.
I love this book, as will any fan of Hyacinth's.

) This is a great companion piece to the video. Where else can you learn proper etiquette today. Hyacinth is the perfect teacher. This book will keep you laughing for hours. So much advise, you can see why the series was so funny.
