I have always been a fan of Kathy Smith, but only recently took up Yoga. I decided as a beginner to start with a name trusted in the exercise field. I prefer her style to others. I love the video and it has been extremely helpful and informative. No disappointment here.

First, I'll admit it, I've always hated the idea of Yoga. Being a fitness instructor for over 30 years, I always liked the idea of going as hard and sweaty as I can. I thought I'd like to finally give Yoga a try but wasn;t into the "deep mind experience" of many yoga DVDs. This is PERFECT! I've only done the beginners workout but Kathy Smith's style of teaching shines through. It is easy to follow yet challenging. No deep meditation or new age hype! Just a good stretch and strength workout!

) I have been working out with Kathy Smith for years. She has a great teaching style. All of her workouts are geared toward many fitness levels because she demonstrates modifications of many of the exercises so beginners to advanced can benefit from the workouts. I have done many of her workouts and love them all!!

This dvd is slower paced as far as most yoga workouts go but it has options. You can do the first yoga segment which is basic with great cueing that breaks down the poses into easy to understand phrases without intimidating the novice yoga person. The next segment is for the more advanced person who is more comfortable with the yoga practice and its jargon. I use this video for the yoga workouts mainly but the other workout is great as well. The cover is recent but be cautious because the workouts themselves are a little less recent. Other than that, I highly reccommend these workouts!
