I love this workout. I just bought my second copy. I used the other one until it wore out. I did one 20 minute part 4 times a week and lost 10 pounds in about a month and toned up a ton. Excellent full body workout. You will use every muscle and you can use lighter or heavier weights to tailor it to your fitness level.

Starting out or advanced I personally like that I can put in just under 30minutes and feel like I really worked a muscle group. I alterate upper, lower, and abs for a six day workout. When there is time add one or both the others for a great workout.

As a beginner I am able to do the upper and lower body workouts at the low impact level. The workouts are short but seem effective.

Been doing this workout for 3-1/2 years. Very fun and very effective. Moves are simple and the room of exercise participants are non-intimidating. I'm an advanced exercise enthusiast and a past trainer and this video is most definitely one I reach for over and over. You can choose to do 20-minute legs only, 20-minute upper body only or 7-minutes abs. Or combine any/all of the segments for an excellent overall body workout!

  no frills for your health

If you like strightforward no frills work with light weights,this is the DVD for you. I purchased it for that reason. A chair,mat,light weights and your set. This is easy to follow, and takes little time to do. My physican recommended this DVD. I have mild arthritis in my hands and he said this work-out would help. He also said he preferred the older version. I find it a little boring, but worth the effort.

This workout isn't challenging enough and didn't hold my interest. I also don't like the fact that there aren't any warmup segments. Kathe also grated my nerves a little with her voice. I may use this video occasionally when I want to work out but am feeling lazy and don't want to overexert myself.

This workout is great for the days you don't feel like a heavy cardio workout. The toning is perfect and you can increase intensity to fit your fitness level. Kathy is great at cuing and not too perky. Highly recommend!

I have several Kathy Smith DVDs and I think they all give me a great workout so I decided to try one that uses weights. Kathy works every single upper body and lower body muscle in 2 separate 20 min. workouts. You can challenge yourself as much as you want by using heavier weights, do just one of the workouts, or both. She also has a bonus ab workout that you can really feel. I noticed definition in my upper body after less than 2 weeks and I feel like I have more stamina after doing these exercises. She's very high energy and keeps you motivated. She does tend to scream a little but overall, she's good. Highly recommend it.
