Kate and Leopold (DVD, 2002)

This is one of those movies that I call "re-watchable". I can easily watch it at least 3 times a year. Year after year.

Once you get over the very weak plot device that allows time travel for our characters, the love story and drama left over are wonderful. Hugh Jackman is completely a different man in this than you would ever imagine possible, and it's a wonderful performance! The romance is real, but tender and reminds us all of both the people we would like to be and be with in an ideal world. Very funny, and very touching throughout. Perfectly appropriate for family viewing, but a wonderful childlike diversion for adults into the innocence we all wish we still had. Not a fairy tale by any means, but a dream come true. Overall this is a compassionate movie that reminds us all of the good in ourselves and others and reminds us to believe in the impossible... that sometimes the "too good to be true" is actually ours to behold.

I loved the preciseness with which Hugh Jackman became the character. It made me fall in love with the character, he is such a gentleman...a gentle man. My favorite line is given by Hugh at the dinner table over tater tots.

I sure didn't buy this movie for Meg Ryan's acting capabilities, or lack thereof. Her whininess tends to push me a bit over the edge, and I don't think any other actress could have nailed the whiny and bemoaning parts as well as Meg Ryan did. Hugh Jackman MADE this movie (so to speak). I have become a huge fan of him recently, and this little movie was a must to add to my collection. Cute guy (Hugh) from way back when decides to do a little time travel by following Meg Ryan's character's boyfriend (played by Liev Screiber, another hunk)- Liev invented the machine by the way - and Hugh and Meg meet and la la la I can't tell you the rest, you'll have to go rent it or buy your own copy. But it's a good classic cult-type movie, kinda like Sleepless in Seattle or French Kiss if you're a Meg fan.

fun movie to watch good to have in your library. I like the actors. in just about everything they have acted in.

It was a good transaction. I recieved it timely, the package was in good condition. The money was exchanged smoothly and there were no issues with the transaction.

I bought this copy to replace one I had let a co-worker borrow, then she up and quit her job and took my DVD with her, the rat. It is your basic "man trying to get by in an out of time situation and, of course falling in love with the woman he meets on his journey." Fortunately both Meg Ryan and Hugh Jackman can carry it off and it is a very pleasant way to pass a few hours. Liev Schreiber is adorable as Ryan's hapless brother.

can't beat the price of this dvd there is no negative it was new I liked the fact I had 2 choices weather I wanted to watch it orginal or directors cut. I liked the movie I had vhs but machine eat it so I wanted to replace it on dvd. it was fast delivery.

Romance, time-travel, Hugh Jackman - it can't lose. Throw in a little comedy, a little nervousness that things might not work out right.

I watched this movie before and absolutely loved it. I wanted to watch this with my teenage daughters so went to rent it at Blockbuster. Unfortunately every time I check someone is always renting it and they never has it in stock . So I decided to buy it because of the reasonable price and I would love to keep it home and watch it again.

I like Meg Ryan. I had seen the movie before, but thought it worth buying and adding to my collection.

I didn't realize it was wide screen, but that was my error not the sellor. So I got a great movie, good price and quickly in the mail.

This movie is perfect for a girls' night in with chips and salsa. Has the Meg Ryan thing going on even without Tom. You know it has to end well, but you can't help watching anyway.

It had a pretty good story line and execution. Meg Ryan was too obnoxious for my taste, but I guess that's just her style and the character she was trying to portray. The other actors were excellent.

It's a good "chick flick" that a guy can actually enjoy.

I have seen this movie before and have loved it ever since. There is a real plot to this movie not just another chick flick. There are twists and turns that you might not expect. It's a great movie for a rainy night in. I hope this helps you out.
