Katamari Damacy (PlayStation 2, 2004)

This is one of a handful of games that made me want to buy a PS2 and it did not disappoint when I finally got it. The story is out there, like the programmers were smoking some industrial strenth crack but the gameplay is incedibly fun. You roll up a ball and collect things and the goal is to make a certain sized ball within a certain amount of time. It's quite a treat to start rolling up animals, then people and so on. If you want to try an originale game, give it a whirl. I have been playing video games since the late 70s and this is definitely one of the most unique and fun games I've ever played.
