Karmacode [ECD] by Lacuna Coil (CD, Apr-2006, Century Media Records USA)

Lacuna Coil never disappoints, and Karmacode adheres to that statement. Definitely a band whose frontwoman can stand up to the big boys of metal, Cristina Scabbia voice leaves you entranced from beginning to end, with Andrea Ferro adding to this amazing collection of music.

This CD is more than I expected. I bought it strictly for the remake of Enjoy the Silence , but have fallen in love with the whole CD. If you're into goth-metal and love Evanescence, you will love this. I highly recommend it to everybody. The Vocals are extraordinary and harmonious. It's just Amazing!!!!

Like: good songs structure, great singing, good riffs, good production
Dislike: too much nu-metal laying in the track construction
I bought it because I saw good reviews, and I am happy with it. But this is not
going to be my favourite disc.

All around good CD for anybody who likes Rock/Metal. For the price you can get it on eBay it is just awsome.

No matter who you are and what you like, this band will touch you from the inside out. You hear the smooth sounds from the vocals as well as the power packed guitars, and the soil drums and bass line. before you know it you are moving with the music

For the longest of time from 2000 until now, I have only heard of a few bands that I truly enjoy with a passion. They range from Dream Theater, Fozzy all the way to Lacuna Coil.

I think that Lacuna Coil is a fresh breath. Instead of hearing whiny guys singing about their heartbreak or guys who sound like women, this is a true rock band.

This is in your face rock with no punches pulled back. Great bass lines and great vocals with powerful melodies.

The only dislike I have for them is that they sound very similar to Korn's bass lines and bass minor scales. Other than that, I think imitation (for a lack of better word) is the best compliment to another great band, Korn. I'm not saying that they imitate Korn, but I think that they're similar.

I have very diverse musical tastes and consequently I enjoy music that has elements of diversity as well. Goth style rock has great appeal in that one can often hear complex instrumentation and vocal harmonies with a hard driving sound or sweet and often haunting melody. All of these elements are present to varying degrees in the music of Lacuna Coil. The band has been around but under different names for over 10 yrs.I am a new fan of Lacuna Coil (about 2 years now) and I own everything they have put out. This is also a great band to introduce you to the genera. Christina Scabbia's voice is fabulous! Whether fronting the hard driving tracks, blending with her growling or harmonious coparts, or the focus of an orchestral toned beauty, it is her voice you will appreciate. The bands music is very accessable for this genera. The harder core fans of Goth may feel there's too much radio friendliness in many of their tracks. You decide! If you like Evenescence you will not be disappointed in this band. Karmacode is their latest release. While I don't think it's their best, you'll listen often anyway, and probably return to enjoying it on and off years from now. I would recommend it and feel confident in saying you'll not be disappionted. Not only will you become a fan, you'll have some great music in your player!

i love this album as much as i love comalies. if you like heavy metal then you want be disappointed with this album.

Really great album from this great italian band who plays better than tons of other acclaimed metal bands.
Powerful sounds, haunting melodies, original song structure. And the cover of "enjoy the silence" is stunning.

Karmacode by Lacuna Coil has quickly become my most favorite CD. The guitars are wicked heavy with some of the nastiest grooves around. Combine that with moody, brooding keyboards and amazing vocals that soar and you've got a winning combination. You can tell this band is experienced and have been together for a long time because they achieve a smoothness, a cohesiveness that is rare among today's musicians. Every song on the CD kicks a$$.
