Karma and Effect by Seether (CD, May-2005, Wind-Up Records)

When I first listened to this CD, I was reminded greatly of grunge music and Nirvana and Kurt Cobain specifically. Wow. The singer of this band is excellent and his voice can carry his emotions very well. The songs are meaningful and well-written. "Remedy" is the main single off the album and you can see why. That song rocks. But the rest of the CD is no slouch. Each song is beautiful in its own way. The only complaint I might have is that the insert is so cool that you miss some of the music while thumbing through it.

After buying "finding beauty in negative spaces" and "Disclaimer II", i've decided that this cd represents all the facets of Seether. From hard and heavy metal, so rockin' ballads, this cd shows the many faces of Seether, and their growth.

This album became an instant favorite of mine as soon as I got it. Even from the opening track, Seether pulls you in with its well-placed screams and jarring guitar riffs.
I highly recommend this album to any Three Days Grace fan. Don't just buy a couple songs; buy the entire thing. Unlike Seether's other albums, Karma & Effect is completely clean. This CD is awesome.

I won the bid for the CD, paid my bill with Pay Pal, didn't receive the CD, wrote an e-mail asking where the CD was, never received an answer, then found out the seller was no longer a member of EBay. In short I paid for the product but never received it.

It is a very good album, just like the first one "Disclaimer" and its Special editon "Disclaimer II". My favourites: Given, World falls away, Diseased.
The first singel "Remedy" is a fantastic song with a really cool video. The second singel "The gift" is also a good song, and it has a special video. (You can find "The gift" video on the "One cold night" CD/DVD pack.)

This cd is pretty good, except for the wild screams in a couple of the songs. I mean, screaming can be appropriate unless there doesn't seem to be a point in it. And in those two songs, it is hard to find the point of it. For the most part, the music is great, although it doesn't compare to their (Seether's) album "Finding Spaces -" I like Seether though and you can't always get 100% great on anyone's albums, so I will still be interested in more of them (Seether).

This was the first CD of this band I had listened to. Loved it, listen to it all the time, wearing it out. Had to get Disclaimer ll, it was even better if that's possible. This CD is great from beginning to end. They're going to be in my area soon with Three Days Grace and Breaking Benjamin....can not wait!!

Amy Lee as always bring it out!! I love her and this CD just proves why. She's got amazing talent and a great voice!
