Ever wonder if you were singing on key when in the shower or in your car? Now you can find out!!!

This game is great. It's like Dance Dance Revolution except that you sing instead of dance. You sing into a microphone just like typical karaoke, but the game is smart enough to know if you are singing on key or not and shows if you are sharp or flat. You are rated on how well you sing the song like it's supposed to be sung, and you compete against your friends. You can see who just *thinks* they are a good singer :).

This is a great game for parties, in addition to two-player battles it even lets you sing as a duet. This latest version also lets you sing parts of songs in rapid succession so you have a great medley. It also has really recent songs like:

ABC
Against All Odds
Ain't No Mountain High Enough
Beat It
Burn
California Dreaming
Careless Whisper
China Grove
Come Clean
Don't You (Forget About Me)
Flashdance… What A Feeling
Hold On
I Got You Babe
If I Ain't Got You
In the Midnight Hour
Joy To The World
Killing Me Softly
Leave (Get Out)
Love Shack
Meant to Live
My Immortal
New York New York
Oops!...I Did It Again
Respect
Shining Star
Someday
Take My Breath Away
Thank You
The Reason
Twist & Shout
Unchained Melody
Under Pressure
When I'm Gone
Why Can't I
You're the One that I Want

The only downside is the microphone that comes with this will probably break after a while because it's a bit flimsy, but you can get any USB microphone/headset to use with this game.

Karaoke Revolutions 3: The ultimate party game
Review created: 12/09/06

Even before I had bought the game, I knew this game was going to be great. I had played it before and loved the variety of songs on there. There is 30+ songs on there to choose from. I bought this game specifically for playing when I invite friends over for a party and this game delivers on the fun factor. My friends and I loved competing against one another and just singing the various songs that were available. This game has Mario Party type fun when everyone gets into it. Once all of the songs are unlocked, go have fun! If you are looking for a great game to play with friends, this game should be on the list. Before you buy it though, check out this game online at Wikipedia and see if the songs are to your liking. I did and that made buying this game an easy choice. Make sure though that you get two microphones, otherwise you cannot play some of the duet type modes properly.

I love my Karaoke Revolution 3 Bundle (Playstation 2)
Review created: 09/05/06

I had never heard of the Karaoke Revolution games for PS2 until I went to visit my friend and she had it. We had some wine and sat down to sing. Well, we sat down for a little while but before you knew it we were dancing around and singing. I had such a blast with this game that when I got home I had to order my own. I am not collecting them all. I am hooked and they are so much fun when you have company. My sisters and their family came to visit me for the summer and it's pretty much all we did all summer long. Now I have my sisters hooked on it and they too are collecting them. I thourghly enjoy this game and all my other Karaoke Revolution games. I hope that some day they will come up with a Karaoke Latin Revolution. My siters, friends and I would surely buy that one!!! I love my Karaoke Revlution!!!

  DDR for wannabe singers?
Review created: 09/01/06

Karaoke revolution is great for those that fear singing in public. Knowing full well that I have a horrific singing voice, I decided to save the innocent public from the pain of my voice and do my singing in the comforts of my own home.

This game is a great teaching tool as by singing along with the music you can see/learn about pitch and tempo. It also has a fairly decent selection of songs.

The only downside is that the majority of the songs are performed by cover artists who sing just about as off key as I do.

Overall a decent game.
