Karaoke Revolution Presents American Idol combines the highly acclaimed Karaoke Revolution game engine with America’s most popular television show to deliver an authentic Idol experience for the PlayStation 2. Sing along to 40 new songs, including hits from the show, and compete from auditions to performances on center stage in your quest to become the next American Idol.


The standard version of Karaoke Revolution Presents American Idol does not include a Karaoke Revolution microphone (a special bundle is also available for those who need a mic). Players who already own a different Karaoke Revolution game can jump right in with their Karaoke Revolution microphone, or gamers can use a PlayStation 2-compatible USB headset or microphone to play.

      We have all the Karaoke Revolutions and this was is Just as Fun. Simon & Randy are there, but Paula is replaced by Laura? I think because Paula Abduls Straight Up is one of the songs, and she's probably already going to get royalties from it, is the only conclusion I could come up with. One thing they could have made better was the song selections, a lot of them are older, some even before my time, but the game was bought mostly for my 11 year old, and unfortunately she doesn't know 75% of the songs (25% I don't know either), so because of that I'm giving this a Good instead of Excellent. The Judging and Critiques are pretty funny though, and there are also video clips of singers on American Idol when you unlock them by getting Platinum and Diamonds

      Overall it's Good, but we've waited a whole year for the new version of this Game, and it wasn't as good as I thought it might be. Hopefully next year they'll put Newer Top 40 songs on it.

      If you like to sing along with the songs, this game is for you! You work hard to unlock extra songs and character items and it's so rewarding! Fun game!
