Kala by M.I.A. (Rap) (CD, Aug-2007, Interscope Records USA)

Preveiwed online before I purchased. Excentric dance rap cd. Paper planes is the most "normal" track so you might want to sample other tracks online as well. Still highly recommended overall. Short album at only 47 minutes.

This M.I.A CD was a new release just starting to get rave reviews from her debut in the United States, I found the CD on Ebay for 10% of the cost it was in stores! Not only did I get a great deal on a hard to find item- but the CD was unbelievablely good!

Unlike her first album, this was harder to get into. A lot of clangin' and bangin' that at times is hard to listen to, balanced by odd noises and unintelligible lyrics that are fun to listen to, this album may be quickly discarded by most, but if you like the unusual, "Kala" is definitely not like anything else in record stores.

I like MIA thats why ive decided to buy her cd :) I have no dislike i like all the music in this cd! very good stuff !

I only really liked the one song Paper Planes. I heard it on the Slumdog Millionare soundtrack. I listened to a few of her songs on youtube, but Bucky done gun was not on this CD.

I purchased this item for my wife. Was new, at a great price. My wife loves the album, except for a few tracks.

I bought this cd for the song paper planes that i seen on mtv. There was only two songs that i liked.

The best music is at the end of the album. What you hear for the first 30 minutes is just noise. Paper Planes is pretty cool, but it's cheaper to purchase it as a single and to forget about the rest of the tracks.

Shipping was very fast & the product was a good price. I liked the fact that you offered free shipping, you had the product i was looking for, and it was at a good price, i recieved the cd in 3 days which is very fast for ebay

I was completely satisfied with the CD that I bought. The case had no cracks, and it was packaged very well. The CD itself had no scratchs and plays perfectly.

Very eclectic, she has a different sound. Other tracks besides Paper Planes are great! I'm trying to have at least 100 characters for my review but I really don't know how to do it.......................

Great cd to put on when u just want something different than the regular hum-drum. very upbeat and and clever lyrics. just like every cd i'm not a fan of all the tracks, but i definately have some fav's! I heard the song paper planes in feb. '08 and knew i had to buy this cd. Glad I Did!

M.I.A. has had an amazing album catalogue with only a two albums out; usually, sophomore albums are a risky venture for many artists, but M.I.A. made an excellent album. In fact, my original copy was stolen by a coworker; instead of feeling obligated to download it, I went and bought another copy. This album is amazingly good, and, in a way, it is almost great that she became popular with the Top 40 set. She deserves to be exposed to the greater public.

I LOVE this CD so much because she is an amazing artist. With a mixture of rap and electronica, the Sri Laken proves her skills on her 2nd album. My favorite song on the CD right now, had many before, is XR2! It is so amazing because her tone of voice matches perfectly with the beat, which I may add is so cool! I have also purchased her 1st CD, Arular. Both albums are amazing and I would defiantly consider buying both of them! 5 stars for M.I.A.!

maya has been a fave of mine for some time. been to her shows and she's hot. her music speaks for itself. it's real and not likely to be played on the radio ...ever(at least here) because it's not what some people view as mainstream but in my eye's it's an underground classic that has grabbed the attention of those not familiar with her work in the music world. i got it because it was autographed and there is nothing to dislike. each track breathes new life into my day and hypes me for work,club,girlfiend etc.if you've been to a show you know the energy she has and can bring to the crowd. ask those at 1st ave in mpls. she is bannana's and i love it.no track is similar in any form or fashion. she's the queen of this....

I luv her music but I couldn't find it anywhere in my area. When I saw the price of it on ebay I was amazed at how low it was. It was definitely a great buy!

I ♥ paperplanes that's my favorite song of hers. I hate some of her songs on this cd like bird flu
