Movie Description Though it was, most likely, their initial face painting gimmick that propelled KISS into the front ranks of 1970's supergroups, the band has continued to rock long after the clown faces have been wiped away. This behind-the-scenes documentary follows the immensely popular band on their 1990 concert tour, which promoted their twenty-third album, HOT IN THE SHADE. Frontman Gene Simmons and guitarist Paul Stanley are heavily featured, and candidly discuss the secrets of the band's success and incredible longevity.
