Fortyish, P.I. Savannah Reid is a P.I. is asked to investigate a city councilwoman's husband's death. She does her job too well and she is fired with made up charges of rules violation. She knows the number one suspect is innocent and he also wants Savannah to continue the investigation. Her spoiled teenage sister arrives from Georgia without notice and now Savannah has to clear the suspect and keeping her sister out of trouble.
The mystery was okay but the murderer was easy to guess early on. Having to deal with her sister was quite annoying.

After reading one of the series, I immediately searched out more. Fun, witty characters with the frustrations and foibles of everyday people.
