It's pricey at $900, but worth every cup when the machine works. Now going on five years, my machine has been in for service three times, once for a product recall to avoid a fire hazard, and twice for cleaning at my expense of $125 each. Manually cleaning the internal screen after every few cycles is no big deal. The Users Manual documentation is a bit overengineered. The grinder is a bit noisy, yet produces the perfect cup of coffee or espresso every time. After using this for a week, I’ve never enjoyed coffee from anyone else including formal restaurants. And although this unit has experienced problems, it continues to be the most awesome coffee machine ever !!!

I have a C-3000 and C-1000.
Both are excellent with trade offs.
My buddy has a similar one (different brand) and i would NOT trade!
These are ULTRA durable (i have owned my C-3000 for several years now)
I have ONE cup a day religiously.
After buying a vacation place in Arizona and going thru 3 different coffee makers trying to save some $. I finally thru in the towel and got a C-1000.
There is just no comparison, it makes the best cup of coffee i have ever had, every time, quickly and easily.
The C-1000 actually makes stronger coffee than the C-3000.
FYI the person that said it does not make strong enough espresso is right, but its NOT really an espresso maker!
That being said, there is NOTHING that can make a stronger, richer, yet completely non-bitter cup of coffee better than a Capresso.

I HAD TASTED ESPRESSO MADE FROM ONE OF THE NEWER MODELS, AND IT WAS OUTSTANDING. HOWEVER, THIS MACHINE WILL NOT GRIND BEANS FINE ENOUGH TO MAKE A HIGH-QUALITY ESPRESSO. EVEN DOING TWO 2 OZ. SHOTS SET AT THE FINEST GRIND AND LONGEST GRIND TIME DOES NOT CREATE WHAT I WANT. THE CONVENIENCE OF HAVING A CLEAN, EASY OPERATING MACHINE IS A DEFINITE PLUS BUT I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS MODEL.

I have owned one of these machines for several years and with the exception of a factory upgrade called for by them, it's been flawless. The adjustments and the settings cannot be outdone by the most expensive of new machines. The esperesso made and the coffee are splendid. In a nutshell, it's been reliable, functional and efficent!

This is the most awesome espressor machine. Makes coffee strong but smooth. Once you use this machine you will not want another - even though it is more expensive but oh so worth it!

My neighborhood bike shop put one of these in for customers and employees. All I can say is WOW!
Anyone can operate it with minimal to no instruction. It does everything, all you need to do to brew the perfect cup of freshly ground coffee or make an espresso is set the control for what you want and push start!
I am a coffee addict and typically buy a new coffee machine every few months, just to try them out. Normally I'm dissappointed.
This machine is so cool, I'm adding it to my Christmas list!

This machine allows you to serve yourself the best coffee one can dream of. No need to drive to your local coffee house. This vitually maintenance free machine makes expresso or regular coffee from your favorite whole beans. Simply poor in the beans of your choice and press the button for the freshest cup of Joe you now can only buy from Starbucks. I loved this machine so much that I upgraded to the Z5 which is top of the line and alot more money. C1000 is a proven long lasting machine. I have used it every day for over a year now without any problems whatsoever. For the money you cannot find better coffee anywhere. I paid for this machine almost 2 times in the first year from the savings by eliminating my early morning coffee stops.

I like that it does much the same as the higher end models do. The simple fact that it doesnt have a digital read out is to me the only difference between it and say and E8 model which is generaly more money. It makes great coffee as well as hot tea and the temperature is plenty hot while not being too hot. The steam frother makes some of the best froth I have ever experienced. Good sized reservoir compared to most. Simple to learn how to operate and clean. I bought it because my daughter was taking her E8 away and I didnt want to spend as much as she did.

jura c-1000Wasnt happy with product. It had a water line clog and had to send back to factory. Came to find out unit had been recalled.
