  The BEST Esther Williams movie!

This film has CHEMISTRY! Combining the delightful vocal and acting talents of Howard Keel (Hannibal) and Esther Williams (Amytis, aka, Jupiter's Darling)--it's a delight to watch. Even though the VHS isn't usually in the original widescreen Cinemascope, it's a MUST SEE! Amytis is a Roman maiden intended to wed boring ruler Fabius. She hears that Hannibal has come to seize Rome and sneaks out to meet him. Hannibal is a swaggering, mesmerizing, handsome barbarian. The two clash but are instantly attracted to each other. Hilarious dialogue, fast-moving plot, enjoyable musical numbers, delightful swimming sequences with Esther, and a great ending--all reasons to see this rare film if you can! The supporting actor/actress relationship is cute as well. It also has a famous "elephant scene" with dancing elephants and was also her last movie with MGM.
God bless, CB =)

The big problem is tht this edition is not in the letterboxed format .The Film was shot in CinemaScope and it is impossible to give any opinion on the film since the edition is not up to it .Sellers should definitely mention it in their descriptions on ebay .
It is a rare film and we should be able to see as intended originally
