Juno: Music From the Motion Picture (CD, Jan-2008, Rhino Records USA)

I heard the Moldy Peaches recently on 'The View' and wondered if these two kids could be legit.. . Just a couple of teenagers with a raw, yet homey, old-time sound. I wasn't even sure if they were singing the right notes some of the time! The Moldy Peaches sing "Anyone Else But You"; Kimya Dawson (the female Moldy Peach) sings several other songs on the CD. Antsy Pants, The Kinks, Sonic Youth and others create a wonderful patchwork of sound. Don't listen if you can't stand to have quirky little songs stuck in your brain! I haven't even gotten to see the movie yet, but the music definitely has me hooked!

This is definitely the best soundtrack in a while. The last time I went crazy listening to a soundtrack was the Forrest Gump soundtrack. It's a prefect blend of classic rock, folk, and pop. There's a couple of tracks that don't fit in (that doesn't mean they are not good it's just Sonic Youth comes out of nowhere) but otherwise it all flows perfectly. If you appreciate good music then there's something on here for you.

I love this soundtrack. If you have seen the movie, then scenes will pop up into your head as you hear each song. If you have not seen the movie, then be ready to listen to some amazing acoustic work. Each song played such a pivotal role in character development and plot that listening to it will bring a smile to your face when you remember the great movie. Watch the movie before the soundtrack you will just appreciate it so much more. And if you have watched the movie, enjoy.

This CD has all the songs of the movie. They are all sung by the singers in the movie. I love it listen to it every day. One song has some foul laguage the only thing I don't like about the CD.

This cd is awesome!! I saw the movie and loved all the music in it, so I had to get the cd. It was totally worth it and its been in my cd player ever since.

It's rare for a movie soundtrack to be flawless (I always end up hating at least one of the songs) but somehow Juno pulled it off. I think it's safe to say that the brilliant and prolific Kimya Dawson steals the show but cool classics from Sonic Youth, Belle & Sebastian, The Velvet Underground and The Kinks complete this amazing project. A must own for fans of all types of music.

I was looking to buy this CD as soon as I saw the movie. The original songs were quirky , catchy and addictive. Loose Lips is the first anti war song that has appealed to me for many years. So Nice So Smart is terrific. There are many other appealing moments on this CD, easy to listen all the way through and impossible to resist singing along!

When I was watching the movie, I really enjoyed the music. It was upbeat and different. Plus there were a couple of classic songs thrown in there. However, the CD didn't transfer well without the movie.

Went to the movies with my cousin Maria thought she was draging me to a real sleeper but "Juno" the movie was utterly opposite of my preconcieved notions, it was one of the greatest movies I had seen in a very long, long time.

In addtion to the film "Juno" I was totally captured and amazed by the music. It had a folksy, serious and warm sound, kinda like down home to the heart of things, as I watched this great film I listen and loved this perfectly suited soundtrack.

Much the music consists of songs with a couple of guitars, some simple instrumentations accompanied to great simple and natural voice lyrical singing. I am reminded that the music and the singing is like that of the historical 60s Hippy generation although in the form of contemporary "Free Love & Choice v. Politics", which also happens to be the movies theme.

Of the 18 songs on the soundtrack I love 15, like two, and hate one. In my book thats a whopping 94.4% rating. It's a wonderful Soundtrack and worth its unique postion among my entire music collection. The only one really bad song on the CD was the mutilation of "Supertar" best done in my opinion by "The Carpenters". Although I must add the unsavory sound of the Superstar song does have a purpose in the movie.

I thank the music director for his/ her selections of a unique wonderful and amazing compilation of the simplist of sounds, songs and voice, Love it!

Loved the movie and my spouse wanted the CD for fathers day. It is so great and the movie to match. We liked the uplifting songs..

I love this soundtrack. Not normally the kind of thing I'd listen to, but I really enjoyed the music during the movie. If you like this sound, check out the "Moldy Peaches" and music by Kimya Dawson. It's generally a fun, quirky, "folksy" sound. Great job, Juno movie-makers, for compiling this list of music/artists!

This was such a great deal...I saw the movie, loved the music and decided to go shopping for the CD. This seller had a great price and low shipping...so I bought it. I recieved it quickly and in perfect condition. The music is awesome and I loved every song...

my daughter really wanted this cd. and she loves it/ the only thing is it doesnt say on the outside of the cd that there is some inappropiate words in a few of the songs. other than that, the seller did a good job in shipping and packaging

I just love all of the songs throughout the movie so much I had to buy the soundtrack. The last song on the soundtrack was stuck in my head for the longest time after hearing it in the movie and I think it's really cool how the two main characters sing the lyrics.
Great movie.

Now in America people imagine the music of the century as Rap, pop, and R&B. After watching Juno you realize another version of music that is hard to describe. In a couple words I would say its relaxing and simple. No fancy beat, just simple and relaxing music.

The music is not for everyone but I think its a twist to the normal teen music. If you plan on buying the soundtrack, search around to hear clips of it before buying to make sure that you like it! I thought the music was worth the money. Once you recieve it, be prepared for an enjoyable suprise!

After listening to all of it I would rate it an 8.5/10, but I would rate the movie a 10/10!

This soundtrack is great and contains all of the most original and relaxing songs from the actual movie. Highly recommended for anyone that wants to listen to something simple but unique.
