Europe's Stereo Total features a French singer, a German keyboardist/guitarist, and a style that draws from Euro-disco, indie pop, and irreverent art rock. JUKE BOX ALARM is the band's fourth album and delivers more of the outfit's witty, wiggly jams. Stereo Total's clever, sometimes jokey approach to music-making might wear on the nerves if its retro-cool grooves weren't so infectious and the Euro-pop allusions so appealing. Indeed, the band pulls off its winking, catchy pop with aplomb, making JUKE BOX ALARM a wonderfully fun listen from start to finish.
