Journey of Souls by Michael Newton (1994, Paperback)

When my husband passed away almost 6 months ago I started looking for things that made sense. I NEEDED something to wrap my brain around because comments like, "he's in a better place" and "things happen for a reason" just made me cringe. After reading countless books about the subject of life after death, I found the answer in this amazing book by Michael Newton.
Having been present at my husband's death, I found it the most peaceful, precious moment of my life. I'm no longer afraid to die - I truly believe we are souls existing on an earthly plane... not the other way around. We're here to learn; to be enlightened. There are karmic factors that occur and the amazing thing is, we CAN change the course of our lives. We have the capacity to fulfill our destiny in a positive way. As my husband said shortly before he died, it's all about love.

It recounts "past" life and between life regressions. It emphasizes that we each have guides and “families” that are with us most of the time. He describes his patients descriptions of the time between Earth lives. Everything in the book meshes beautifully with Jane Roberts’ SETHs descriptions of Reality. Maybe the doctor’s interpretations are slightly distorted, but Seth cautions us to be aware that there are vast differences between Earth reality and Reality, and no physical words to describe so much of what is real. I found it inspiring and comforting.

I bought this book on the advice of my daughter following the sudden tragic death of my son in a vehicle accident. This book has helped me find some measure of understanding about what happens after death and before incarnating into another physical life. Those who believe in reincarnation will find this book thought provoking - it provides information most of us have never considered as possibilities.

While nothing can ease the pain of losing a loved one, we can look at the loss in a variety of ways and hopefully find some measure of comfort. I liked Dr. Newton's writing style that I am now reading his second book Destiny of Souls which builds on the information gleaned from the original writings. I recommend it highly.

This is not so much a book about dying, rather it is a book about life, and the choices we made to bring us into our current reincarnation. I have read a lot of books about past lives and near-death experiences, but this is different; this book deals with the time between lives. This is a thought-provoking book, and well worth reading.

This book is a good discussion of Dr. Newton’s journey with his clients into the wonderful world between lives. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who will be working or studying in this arena.

As a fan of Dick Sutphen's classic book Past Lives, Future Loves, I embraced reincarnation as one of my core beliefs before the age of 10. Finding this book about 10 years ago, my core belief came one of a passionate clear vision of life after death. I felt like yelling out, "Eureka!" after each chapter! Michael Newton had wrote what my soul had already known to be the truth and I was flabbergasted to be so moved by a "new age" book. I have had 3 copies of this book since then (loaned to a friend and a relative & never got it back - it's that good that no one wants to give it BACK!). Enlightening and even comforting, this is a must have for your library! Highly recommend to believers in reincarnation, those curious about Life After Death and fans of Dick Sutphen's work.

Newton describes what his study subjects experience as they cross the boundary of the current life and past lives into between lives. The objectivity of his data gathering makes this study and his claims quite credible. This book helped me look at events in my life from spiritual angle.

I received the book in a timely manner. It was not the cover displayed on eBay which is the cover/edition I wanted. Otherwise I am satisfied with the order.

This is the best book,especially when dealing with a loved ones death, I send this book to the family when someone dies and it helps them understand that our lives are our lessons,that our soul never dies we live many times with the people we love! This book realy helps the healing!

If you are interested in New Age Spirituality you will not be able to put this book down. I have bought at least 10 for friends and family and I have read it 3 times, learning more each time. It is a book that makes you think about what can be, what maybe and probably what is. The author is not making a definite conclusion about life and life after death but just makes you open your mind to possibilities. Highly recommend.

I purchased the book "Journey of Souls" by Michael Newton (1994)a few weeks ago. I am not yet finished with the book however; it is very gipping and hard to put down. The book gives a different view on death and the journey that our soul takes after death. The author uses real case examples (patients) from his practice. The reason that I purchased this book is because I have been questioning my faith and what life is really all about?!?! If you feel lost and alone this book really helps as, life can kick us all so hard at times! It helps to give hope and comfort regardless of your belief system. I am sure the best is yet to come!

I read this book about 9 years ago when my grandfather was sick and not going to live for long. I was very uncomfortable about death before reading "Journey of Souls". After reading it, I was put at ease. I was "ok" with my Grandfather passing on because i felt he could be with me again. I purchased this book for a friend who has had friends die and she didnt know how to feel about it. I am hoping that this book will help her through her greiving process as it did me.

I've read about life after death my whole life, starting when I was an adolescent. After I lost one of my children five years ago, books about survival of the spirit were one of my biggest comforts. I don't remember how I heard about Michael Newton's two books, Journey of Souls and Destiny of Souls, or even how I acquired them. But they are the best of all that I've read. The amount of fascinating detail is amazing, as is the uniformity of all his subjects' stories. These books make you truly realize that we are on a very temporary adventure here on earth, and "home" is quite another place entirely.
