The Joshua Tree by U2 (CD, Jun-1990, Island Records USA)

The Joshua Tree is a classic U2 CD. It contains amazing music by a truly amazing group. If you're not familiar with U2, Joshua Tree will make you fall in love with the group. It's a must own for your CD collection.

Although a few of the songs on The Joshua Tree are about other places (REd Hill Town, for instance), I think of the album as strikingly American. The album is about the American experience in some ways, and it is about the American landscape in others. The lyrics and music both paint a beautiful, bittersweet picture--and songs like Exit are dark and deep. The first few songs on side B are arguably the best sequence in rock music history--the transitions are perfectly blended, and the result is a great listening experience. Love this great album!

This is one of my all time favorite albums. While I respect U2s versatility to keep moving in new musical directions, this album along with Rattle and Hum were U2 at it's best.

A Christian Rock group from Ireland. Where Christianity, is the main theme, for U2. They are also rock n roll. I love the first 2 songs on this CD. Where the streets have no names. If one listens to the song very carefully he is decribing the streets of Heaven, to everyone who listens. (This is a known fact from several interviews with U2). The second song, is: I STill Haven't Found What I Am Looking for. We all feel like this, once in a while, at my second job as a Security Officer, when this song comes on the radio, you can hear it reverberate through out a Construction site. Because in a sense, we all have been there...we are all looking for something that does not exist here.
And we haven't figured it out yet? Listen too these two songs, and you can pretty much figure out, what U2 is telling you about yourself.

1987 (not '90 as stated above) -- "Joshua Tree" was the best to date, and in the opinion of many, the best U2 album ever. Political awareness is brought through incredible music. This album has very high emotion and heart-pounding rock and roll from the very first note. "Where the Streets Have No Name" demands that you listen intently with great anticipation. Before this album, U2 was a well-kept secret. However, this not-so-well-known band seemed to get the attention of everyone once "Joshua Tree" hit the stores and airwaves. Suddenly, they were on the covers of "Time", "Rolling Stone", etc., then an awesome tour that spread the nation (and the world). The terrific masterpiece deserved the attention -- a CD that must be cherished.

i bought this cd for my wife, and she just loved it. The cd was sold to me at a great pric and great shipping i would definately do buisness with again.

the joshua tree, by u2, is one of my favorite u2 albums they've produced.
i decided to buy the cd copy because of the low, low price. when i received the cd i was totally satisfied with the condition of the used cd, no scatches or skipping on the cd. it was an excellent purchase.

I adore U2, listen and follow them for 20 years! I was at their two concerts in Sarajevo on 97 and now to renew Zagreb.Cd with eBay are much cheaper than us and are of good quality.Recommend for all fans U2, who will become!Rock'on!

The Joshua Tree CD was great,I had this CD before but it got damaged.
I liked it so much I just had to buy anouther one.Plus ebay I got it

This cd is one of the best ever recorded. It has a great feel and helps put me in a powerful mood. Strong lyrics with a great message, supported by free flowing music & melodic vocals. Highly recommended listening.

I like the great low price for this cd of U2, which has been a favorite of mine for many years. The cd is in average condition. I received the cd very quickly after payment was made. I was happy about that. I definitely was satisfied with this purchase.

Hands down one of U2's best written songs on one CD. After watching part of the video being filmed we got a copy of the CD shipped to us and loved it. This is a replacement as the first one is worn out. I do not replace many but this one was a must.

This is U2 at it's best. This CD is one of the 5 best rock albums from that decade. Rolling Stone has it at #26 on the list of best albums of all time. How "Thriller" and "The Plastic Ono Band" got ahead of "Joshua Tree" is beyond me. Everything about this album is great.

it is one of THOSE albums that seems like every song is a potential hit JMO.

U2's finest album.Still gives me goose bumps when I hear it.Any rock music collection worth its salt would have to include this ground-breaking album.

I bought this to replace the one I had that was lost/stolen. It is still my favorite U2 album. I have, I think, pretty much everything they've recorded, and I believe it's the best of their work (so far).

This is one of my all-time favorites! The songs are absolutely beautiful and mesh very well together. I highly recommend it! Once you hear it you will be hooked..

This is about my 4th or 5th copy and it is easily in my top 10 of all the music that I have ever owned. it's great.
