Joomla! A User's Guide by Barrie North (2007, Paperback)

Barrie North does an excellent job of laying out the entire Joomla! hierarchical structure. Along with teaching the most basic concepts of Joomla!, North treats readers to three distinct website builds: a school, a restaurant and a blog. While written in 2007, he is in the forefront of the advances in Joomla! and know doubt is readying for the introduction of version 1.6. The one drawback is the fact that as the Joomla! crew phases out 1.0 and moves towards 1.6, like all progress in technology, the many new facets introduced in 1.5 need to be updated. Overall, I highly recommend any newbie or intermediate Joomla! user to have a copy of this book (until his newer edition is published.)
