Johnson Family Vacation (DVD, 2009, Movie Cash)

This was a funny movie but it was just too much like all the other family vacation movies. Cedric is always funny and entertaining but the movie is a one time watch, nothing I would care to see again. A good view if nothing else is available.

Super, Super, Super!!! all family vacations should be this Funny and entertaining. I bought this movie for my grandaughter, because she just love this film, but had lost hers, so I suprised her, and got another one. I watched it again, and it was just as funny as from the first time I viewed it. Just a great super family entertaining film!!

This was my first time tryin' to buy a DVD/Cd online due bad experience in the past in the local store lik Blockbuster or others sellin' Dvd's with aa lot of scratches or so but this guy send me A REAL NICE DVD IN REALLY GOOD SHAPE MORE THAT I WAS EXPECTIN' SO let's do it Again!!!!

JOHNSON FAMILY VACATION is an all-ages comedy that breezily resolves family problems and offers some good clean fun along the way. Closely modeled after National Lampoon's VACATION films, star Cedric the Entertainer puts a modern slant on similar scenes and setups first introduced by comedian Chevy Chase. Both Steve Harvey and Cedric (who have collaborated on numerous projects including THE STEVE HARVEY SHOW and Spike Lee's THE ORIGINAL KINGS OF COMEDY) have successfully revived an old-school, Richard Pryor/Gene Wilder kind of comedy here. There's an amusing prayer scene where Harvey and Cedric try to outdo each other through the word of God. But mostly, this is Cedric's film and it shows in everything he does. Just easing himself into a too-hot hot tub is a winning stand up routine in itself. The story follows Nate Johnson (Cedric), your basic insurance nerd at odds with his teenage children DJ (rapper Bow Wow) and Nikki (Solange Knowles), and his estranged wife Dorothy (luminous Vanessa Williams). Nate's mission is to road trip from L.A. to the Johnson family reunion in Missouri with a goal to snag the coveted "Family of the Year" trophy and trump Nate's painfully competitive, loudmouth brother (Harvey). A few cases of mistaken identity, a few random opportunities for hilarity (such as a wrestling match with a pet alligator), and a couple of encounters with the law, and the family finally reaches the reunion where they pull together a cool song-and-dance routine and set their sights on the huge trophy.

I liked the price,it took forever to receive the item. When i received the dvd the case was damaged. The dvd was so badly scratched, only one side would work. I will never order from this person again, so beware buyers you will get damaged goods.

This is an OK movie to watch. I had it on VHS, but wanted it on DVD thats why I purchased it. It was a good comedy to watch.

I love this movie because this gives me another annual masterpieceto watch till Christmas time comes again ,which National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is becoming a christmas classic for me.And to compare the Johnson family Vacation to the Lampoon's vacation it is split right in the middle one is as good as the other even with different stars but I would not like to be without either one ,just plain old down home fun for each time of the yr. Our family vacation is not the same without playing it and of course our Christmas time would be so drab without it.LOve this and would tell anybody to buy a copy forthemselves.

I WANTED TO ADD TI MY VERY EXTENSIVE DVD COLLECTION. COMEDIES ARE MY FAVORITE MOVIES TO WATCH. THE MOVE WORKS PERFECT EVERYTIME.

I expected this movie to be a more real-life kinda comedy drama.
Although this movie was not what I expected, it is funny and entertaining.

This one of my favorite, favorite movies! It is the black version of Chevy Chase and his family going on vacation. Remember, National Lampoon's Vacation? I have all the Chevy Chase vacation movies including the Christmas one which is my favorite! Cederic the Entertainer is great in several of the characters he plays! You will enjoy yourself at family reunion and "dance with wolves"! LOL! I watch it over and over especially when I need to laugh! I don't buy bootlegged copies of movies at all! I prefer to buy a previously viewed DVD that is the original copy when I can't afford to buy a brand new DVD. Once again I found a good and honest seller that sold me a previously viewed original copy.

This was purchased for the kids! It's a funny movie showing how a single mom tries to build a relationship with her new boyfriend who the kids raise holy havoc to see if they can push him away!

We love that movie and our VHS tape was ruined. I love the fact that it only cost me $.01, but the sound on the DVD is strange. We have to have the volume on the TV up all the way and it still sounds like you are listening through a tunnel. I bought it because we needed tio replace our broken video tape.

Well I know this made my daughter happy and that is what was intended. She likes the movie, I like that it arrived in time for Christmas.

I purchased this movie as a gift for my niece for christmas.I didnt like that it was opened.T hat might have been my fault in not reading the discription correctly
