Johnny Mathis Live by Johnny Mathis (CD, Aug-1988, Columbia USA)

Christmas was near and I wanted just one more gift for my husband that told him how much I love him. It had to be something that spoke his language! Fishing lures and a new reel were what he had hinted for and was going to get, but I wanted something warm and intimate to tug at his heart strings.

When a PBS program on TV featured Johnny Mathis, I had my answer. He sang the old songs along with Johnny, never missing a word or a note... just like he did when we first met. Back then, I loved that he had learned the same Johnny Mathis songs I knew and wished I had the voice to sing along with him. (I tried anyway). Now, I was even more impressed that he remembered after all these years.

That night I searched eBay for a CD that had the songs we love and found several offered at various prices. Then I narrowed it down to one that had a great seller's reputation in feedback and offered the CD and shipping at a a reasonable price. The description was clear and honest, so I bid... and won the CD. It arrived quickly and was a big surprise to my husband Christmas morning and we have enjoyed listening to it very much.
