Being a fan of Johnny's for many years, when I saw that this was available I had to have it. I got it almost immediately, and I love it. I personally attended many of Johnny's shows over the years, and this brings back a lot of memories of his earlier performances with Carl Perkins, the Carter Family and the Statler Brothers, who are all here for this one. Besides backing Johnny and June, they all do a song or two of their own. Of course Johnny and June do a few duets, and Johnny does many of his hits and a few penned by others. The visual and audio quality is top-notch throughout, and all in all it is great entertainment. There is an error in the song list however-Rock Of Ages is listed as one of the selections, but the song performed is actually Papa Was A Good Man (which mentions Rock Of Ages in it) from Johnny's A Thing Called Love album. For those who are familiar with the song Children Go Where I Send Thee, you are in for a treat here. This is the full-length version, not the condensed one that was put out on record later. I only have one regret, and that is that the show is too short. It is almost like the show started in progress, even missing the 'Hello,I'm Johnny Cash' introduction usually following Johnny's singing Ring Of Fire. Aside from that,I really think you will love it as I do. I just wonder why it took 35 years to be released! I'm not complaining though, because it is as if Johnny is still here bringing us more great entertainment, and I love that too!!
