The John Wayne Collection (DVD, 2005)

For the movie-goers (watchers) who like, love, or adore John Wayne acting in a starring role, even these "B" Movies that Wayne starred in throughout the 1930's are a joy to watch, making this DVD offering 14 different Films a real bargain!

It should be pointed out that all the Movies on this John Wayne DVD Collection were produced for the most part by Lone Star productions, AFTER John Wayne had starred in the Epic 1930 film, THE BIG TRAIL. This MONSTER of a Movie however did not see the true light of day back in 1930 because it was filmed by directer Raoul Walsh for the BIG SCREEN (70 mm), and most depression era Theatres didn't have the funds necessary to upgrade their Cinemas to accommodate this most important Wayne Movie; thus Wayne languished, unknown in the "B" movie circuit all the way until 1939 when he was 're-discovered' in
the classic, Stagecoach, from where he went on to become a superstar in American Films.

So, between The Big Trail and Stagecoach, this John Wayne Collection DVD, offers up almost everything Wayne did in the Movies during the decade of the 30's.. Every Movie has as different "Starlet" and Wayne with his youthful handsome looks and eneregy ALWAYS wins over the starring lady!!!! Always lots of action, drama, horesback scenes, beautiful wild country with guns ablazin'.....and a bonus here too...the lovable Gabby Hayes appears in most of these movies performing various roles..some 'outlandish' as in The Lucky Texan.

This DVD can be obtained for under $10 from my original source and I highly recommend you pick it up! FUN FUN FUN!!!!!

I would love to write a review about the product. However I still have never gotten the product! I was hoping to give it to my father for Christmas but my order has been overlooked. So I will have to rate this as a poor review since I do not have a product.

I bought the John Wayne collection as a gift. My friend loves Westerns. So it was kind of neat to find the "old" westerns. I've watched them myself, as I am also an Western fan buff...
It's fun to be transported back to the simpler times. The movies brought a smile to both of our faces!

I bought it for a friend who it is impossible to find something for and he really liked it.
