John Thompson's Modern Course for the Piano (1942, Paperback)

I grew up learning to play the piano out of John Thompson's books. I really appreciated the variety of songs his books contain. He has classical music, old love songs, foreign tunes, waltzes--a lot of interesting styles to keep the student interested in practicing! I enjoyed many of the songs, and they progress in difficulty at a steady but practical rate, so I definately improved as I worked through the book. Highly recommended for any young piano student!!
