This movie is a classic with one of the best actors, Denzel Washington. This movie portrays a real-life situation to the middle- to lower-class society. This is a great movie to show in a classroom as well to show the effects of insurance on medical situations.

I love Denzel Washington and all his movies are excellent, and this movie really opens your emotions up to some of the things that are really going on in society that affect millions of people.

This is a great movie to watch ,real tear jerker.The one thing great about Ebay you can find older movies that stores dont sell anymore.This movie will be a wonderful addition to my collection..

Denzel Washington's performance was good, of course, but the script was HORRIBLE and the story becomes more outrageous and unbelievable the longer it goes on. It really got crazy when Denzel's character decides that the only way he can save his son's life is to blow his own brains out so that his heart could be transplanted into his son. And the doctor, played by James Woods, AGREES...even though he knows it's unethical, morally wrong and that his heart may not even be a true match! This crazy plot overshadows raising awareness for the health care issues in this country. When Denzel is saying goodbye to his son (before he's about to go kill himself), he tells his son that when he grows up he should make as much money as he can "even if you have to sell out." This could have been a believable story, but that just blew it all for me. I'm surprised Denzel Washington chose to be a part of this project. Two-thirds of the way through the movie, my husband and I were just laughing at it. Don't waste your time with this movie!

Compelling movie, great actor, makes the bad guy look good,vice versa and who wants to take the "bad guys" side? WOW!! If push came to shove how many parents would go this far?

makes you think about today's faulty healthcare in the united states. why is it set up this way. this film makes you think that too many people capitolizes on the misfortunes of the american people. this film highlights that there is more important things in life then to be a rich doctor who will only work on the insured and is willing to let anyone die and then get into their $100,000 mercedes and drive to their million dollar home. watch this movie, and tell me we are still better off then canada.

I am collecting DVD's that I can watch at my leisure. The products so far has been wonderful. I don't have any compaints about any that I have purchased. I will continue on purchasing them.All the ones I have been getting are brand new except the Titans.

Denzel Washington is an amazing actor, and I have most of his movies. But, this is one of his best. He plays a father, who will do whatever it takes, to save his son's life.

He is so believable in this role, that you actually feel as though you are there with him, and watching his son get weaker and weaker, just breaks your heart. You almost feel as though you are about to lose one of your own children.

I would recommend this movie for anybody that watches movies - regardless of age, genre, anything! It is truly one of the best!
