John Prine - Live on Soundstage 1980 (DVD, 2007)

If your a John Prine fan and considering buying this DVD I highly encourage you to do so. This is vintage John at the height of his career! The energy and passion he has for his music shines through in this concert. It was so enjoyable to watch a young John (not that the older John is bad) I smilled and sang along through every song. The DVD also features a rare look of John in his hometown of Maywood Illinois. A must have for the Prine fan!

this is john prine at his best,but he is never bad.i have known of john prine since 1980, it's a wonder it took 27 years for this dvd to come out,good things come to those who wait.

For long time fan's of JP no doubt you already have this, as you should. New listeners should check this out if you love these songs but have only seen him live in the past 10 years. Very good electric bite on these tunes that shows why his great music is all but impossible to put in one genre. Great interview footage as well.
