Jl Audio JL1000/1 Car Amp

item isnt exactly as i thought it woudl be, couple minor scraches not mentioned. but i'm 100 percent happpy, item shipped and wrapped better than i've ever seen. great on shipping. great amplifier. was everything he said it would be. was very helpful with questions. good guy, sells great stuff.

I needed a amp that was going to handle a pair of 10" W7. The JL Audio 1000/1 amp was perfect for the job. Because I have an Orion Hcca 5000 watts amp. I know this amp will blow the JL Audio 10" W7 into pieces. For the price I paid I was glad I was the winner of the auction for this amp. Retail price for the JL Audio 1000/1 amp is $1,200 and I got it for $360 plus S/H.

This is another one of JLs high end amps...its a killer amp that puts out more than its rated for under 1 ohm impedance. lasts forever. but for the price of this amp, YOU CAN GET A 3000 WATT RMS 18" Fi BTL SUBWOOFER AND A SUNDOWN SAZ-3000D 3000 WATT RMS and money left over for cables.

its like paying money for a high end for a sports car, while you can get a lower priced import that will run circles with some upgrades.

This amplifier is by far the best I've ever used. Other amps, you can have wither SQ or SPL... This amp allows you to have BOTH! JL is very reserved on its claims of this amplifier, from its power rating to how it will clip. They claim to set it up a specific way to minimize clipping, and I run it even stronger and have yet to hear any clipping or distortion of any kind. Definatly worth the money if you are serious about car audio, and JL Audio has the utmost respect in the industry. My previous setup was a 12" kicker L7 with a JL 500/1 and it BLEW IT! I bought another L7 and was able to win comps at 136.3dB! Now, I have a 1000/1 with 2 10" kicker cvx's in a hatchback and recently had it metered at 141.2dB! Excellent product!

The JL 1000/1 offers almost anything the buyer would be looking for and more. The amplifier is rated at 1000 watts at 1.5 to 4 ohms which makes it great for many applications however if you set it up to do 1000 at 4 ohms and change the the subs with a differnt impedance than you can run into issues. I've seen this happen. A 4 ohm set jl 1000/1 hooked up to a 1 ohm load. You would think it would shut down but it won't. It will make 4000 watts into the 1 ohm load and smoke the subs. So in short I will sum it up to say JL definately under rates this amplifier and if you need more than 1000 watts to get the max for SPL this Amplifier will make more power than you would think possible. It does not shut down at 1ohm as you might think very quickly. I have never seen one shut down period but there is protection built in. Clean sound, Oh yes even when running 1 ohm at 3000 watts to smoke a set of 750 watt RMS ea subs there was no audible distortion. That means at 1 ohm it had to well exceed 1500 watts and it was undetectible. Used like JL recommends I think these amps are built to last you for as long as you own your vehicle. You may change your cars several times before you replace this amp. Be carefull who you buy from. This amplified is often the target of fraud by those trying to rip you off. Everyone wants a cheap JL 1000/1 but not every one gets what they pay for.

This amp is extreamly powerfull and just right for someone who has some top of the line subwoofers. I have tried many amps and by far this is my favorite one. the only down side is that it's kind of pricy but if you have the money I would highly recomend it.

I love JL AUDIO AMPS! These amps are the bomb! They rate these amps at 1000 watts RMS but we all know that they give out way more! I paid 350 dlls for a Used one here on Ebay and it was worth it! These amps retail at close to 700 dlls but the amp i bought was used but i good condition so i'm happy

This amp retails for over $1000, and the typical used price hovers around $500 on ebay. What a steel in the $500 price range +/- a couple of bucks. This powers my 12w7 with ease, and it also does a great job on my 2 Diamond 12's.(I switch subs around). I listen to rock, so I need and adjustable amp with tight clean bass, this amp does it all. I replaced a Zapco 1000 with this amp and I am impressed.

YEAH,I LIKED IT A LOT.THE CONDITION WAS VERY VERY GOOD AND IT DIDN'T HAVE ANY SCRATCHES ON IT.I RECEIVED IT IMMEDIATELY AND IT SOUNDED BETTER THEN I THOUGHT AND THE PRICE THAT WAS PUT ON IT WAS VERY GOOD.BETTER THEN IN THE STORES.MY NEW JL AMP IS THE BEST.

For clean power, you can't beat the quality of JL Audio. The price for this product could not be passed. Definitely an A++++++++ item.

THE JL 1000 IS A BEAST, VERY POWERFUL AMP. BUYERS BE WILLING TO SPEND THE EXTRA DOLLARS TO PROVIDE POWER NEEDED. BIGGER WIRE, IN-LINE BATTERY, POWER CAP ETC.

The JL 1000/1 amp is by far the best amp out there. A little pricey like the JLW7's but well worth the money. This JL Audio amp has it all and I would recommend it to anyone serious about sound quality.

Its a JL 1000/1 IT's the best. What I don't like about it. The price is a little high.

This the best amp I have ever had! I am 49 years old and have had quite a few amps and NONE have hit this hard! It is paired with a JL AUDIO 13w7 and it has to be heard (and you can from 3 blocks away). If you want good clean usable power this thing does not mess around. JL has the owners manual with prefered settings on their website also, very handy. BE SURE TO HAVE A KNOWLEGEABLE INSTALLER HOOK IT UP so you can enjoy the full power that this can offer.

im piss the hell off. i pay for a broke piece of crap that dont work. i paid this guy over 400 dollar for a jl audio 1000/1 and it dont work and the guy will not take a it back. on his page it say no refunds. please dont waste your money. now i have to pay jl audio 200 dollar to repair the amp. for the total price i could have gotten a brand new one with a warranty.
