I purchased this small book for my son who loves owls. It touts itself as being ALL about owls...well it is not. It is just a little bit about owls. The illustrations are sub-standard. The writing is so-so. I was disappointed by this book. I understand why the original owner got rid of it. I read it to my son. He learned virtually nothing from it... I do not recommend this book.

Excellent Non-Fiction for little guysReview created: 12/04/06

) Jim Arnosky does an excellent job writing for young learners. I am a preschool teacher and one of my greatest challenges is to find good non-fiction books that captivates my four year old audience. Arnosky uses rich language, but at the same time, exhibits a talent for keeping it simple.
