Jesus Hates Zombies 1 by Stephen Lindsay (2008, Paperba
It’s called Jesus Hates Zombies, by a guy called Stephen Lindsay, and it’s probably one of the most unique comics I’ve read in a while. There really isn’t much to figuring out the story, I mean the title sort of tells you everything you need to know.
The son of God comes to Earth to purge the planet of a zombie plague and find a group of people in a church who will help him. With a bat, a lot of swearings, and a dumb zombie sidekick who seems to be the only person on the planet who unconditionally believes in Jesus Christ as the son of God and savior of humanity.
Weird, right? Hold on, it gets better. Because at the same time the story of Abraham Lincoln and his epic lifelong battle with werewolves is being told. That’s right, Abraham Lincoln did something even bigger than freeing the slaves and subjugating the South.
