Jesus (DVD, 2005)

I am a believer in GOD, I am a man that has seen my own sin, and been overwhelmed with the mercy, and love of Christ...

That being said, I am disgusted with this movie. It is wholly unbiblical. The HOLY Spirit was blasphemed by portraying HIM as a flashy woman dressed like a harlot (Babylon) who pops in and out of view telling Jesus what to do.

The charm and hansomeness, the humor, the emotionalism, the lust, the confusion were not qualities that the WORD attributes to the KING of kings.

It is not worth even looking at let alone paying money for.
PLEASE just read the gospels.

This movie has the closest approach, in my opinion, about Jesus' life here on earth as a person (except for the "Passion of the Christ", Mel Gibson, which describes His death as it really was).
The author here, nailed it when he portrays the "human" Jesus, with sorrows and imperfections just like us, yet funny and with a sense of humor, which is very rare in this type of movie.
The death part of course is not as descriptive/realistic as Mel Gilbson's movie, but as far the life of Jesus and his closeness to human feelings and reactions, those are exactly how He was when he walked this earth as a human being, absolutely amazing!

The Movie is great but it was lacking the alternate ending, and also didnt impact me too much, the movie was more a comedy then anything else in my opinon

IT'S A GREAT MOVIE FOR THE FAMILY TO SIT DOWN A WATCH ON A SAT NITE. GOOD STORY LINE ABOUT JESUS AND HIS MESSAGE TO ALL PEOPLE THAT BELIVE IN HIM AND OUR HOLY FATHER. ALL ACTORS ARE AWESOME! WOULD DEFINTY SEE IT AGAIN AND AGAIN

i bought this movie 3 weeks ago. I shared it to my friends. they like it. it is a good movie about Jesus's life. I like it.

this is my favorite jesus movie. It really captured me and left me crying i highly suggest this one !!!!

I loved the movie years ago and I purchased in VHS and now I wanted it in DVD!
Everything with biblical principles!
I just wanted it for my collection because a few years ago, I tried to get it off Ebay and it was untouchable!

The reason I purchased this DVD is because my mother wanted it. As an Easter present I got it for her and I can truly say she loves this movie. In fact she's a Biblical Historian buff. Her other favorites are Passsion of the Christ and The Nativity Story. I have watched it once with her, and I have to say it is a well written script, very comprehendable to follow and has a wonderful cast (Jermey Sisto and Debra Messing). I would recommend this movie for anyone who loves History or Biblical History.

I LOVE IT BECAUSE THEY MADE IT LIKE HE WAS [HUMAN]. EVERY OTHER MOVIE HAD HIM AS A TEACHER. STRAIGHT LACED LIKE HE HAD A BOARD UP HIS BACK. HE WAS HUMAN AND KNEW HOW TO LAUGH.

I BOUGHT IT BECAUSE IT WAS A JESUS MOVIE. I COLLECT ALL HIS MOVIES.

I DISLIKED NOTHING ABOUT THE MOVIE.
