While most humorists try to skewer with ice-pick wit, Carlin uses a meat ax.

Using his straight-forward style, Carlin guides his readers through a murky world of language that is a much worse joke than anything he could conjure. His opening verbal slavo is worth the price of the entire book. Carlin writes about insurrections, stupidities, political crises, civil disturbances, and other human folly because it's fun.

Hilarious from start to finish, Carlin's literary genius drips from every page. While his outrageous, irreverent humor is not for the faint of heart, it is meat for the free of mind.

If your a Carlin fan, then this book is for you. This is Carlin at his best. I also like that it's read by him. It's full of all the things that goes on in his head, and it's worth listening (or reading) to. If your new to Carlin, and can listen to someone use simple logic to define and/or explain not so simple topics, and agree with him or disagree with him, but laugh anyway, then you will enjoy this (and his other books) too. But if your uptight, and take everyday life and the way America is, and where it's going, way to serious then this book just might make your head explode - so you should read it too, so we can all watch and laugh.
