Alice in Chains was one of the early nineties bands I discovered after giving up on pop a few years ago after hearing The Man in the Box from Facelift, the band s first LP. For those not familiar with Alice in Chains, they were grunge's closest connection to heavy metal. They were the heaviest and the darkest of grunge's four top bands (The others being Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Soundgarden.) For this album, an EP to follow-up the band s acclaimed LP Dirt, Alice in Chains consists of Layne Staley on vocals, Jerry Cantrell on guitars and vocals, Sean Kinney on drums, and Mike Inez on bass....
