Janome 1600P-DB Mechanical Sewing Machine

This machine is a mechanical machine but it has a lot of extra's. It has a needle up/down button, a separate bobbin winding motor, a thread cutter, a sliding speed control and a very functional needle threader. It came with a large surround table and lots of feet. I have pieced quilts on it and have free motion quilted on it also. It took me a few tries to get the tension right, but now I don't have to touch it. The only thing I would change would be to have the feed dogs drop for free motion quilting. I have to unscrew a plate and screw on a thicker one that makes the feed dogs look recessed so they can't move the fabric. It works fine however. This is a large heavy machine and it has suction cups on the bottom to keep it from bouncing around. I have mine recessed into a table. I bought it for quilting but it is so fast that it would be wonderful for drapes, slip covers, etc. Go to the Janome web site and check out the technical specifications.

Great machine, just what I needed. It is working as a "mid-arm" quilting machine for me. Want a long-arm but just couldn't afford one. Was very impressed with the service from the seller, quick, and the machine was extremely well packed. Would not hesitate to buy from this seller again.
