Janet by Janet Jackson (CD, May-1993, Virgin Records USA)

This wasn't anything to "write home" about. I loved Design of a Decade and this just doesn't measure up. It has a couple of songs I enjoy, but it seems like they all sound the same. It isn't something I would recommend.

This is my favorite CD of all time, so from the start, this review is bias. I can not tell the readers how much I enjoy this cd; especially when I need down time from a stressful day. The rain portion of the CD is what I look forward to the most. There is something soothing about the rain, and that part I can listen to over and over again. Moreover, each song on the CD is a great mood starter, plus each time I hear any of the songs, I have to hear the CD in its entirety. So, if you must purchase the CD, by all means do so. I must admit, this review might not help much, I am totally bias and will remain so. Enjoy Janet Jackson's cd "Janet".

What can you say about this Janet Album? except Janet at her finest. Melodic romantic ballads that soothes the mind as well as upbeat pop/r&b. I'm very surprised why "What I'll Do?" didn't make the charts.. drawback to the 70's era, with great acoustics/guitar. Get it!!

Great 1993 Janet Jackson Album. One of her VERY best efforts. The cd has great flow and pace, very deep grooves. An album with catchy dance beats and slow jams. The variety is outstanding :) I LOVE THIS ALBUM! I am a huge Janet Fan. Go JANET! Good luck with SPRING 2009 ALBUM & TOUR!!!

I have loved this album ever since I got it as a gift on tape in 1994. It is sort of like an unofficial sountrack for the movie "Poetic Justice". Janet shows off her beautiful voice in 27 songs(& poetic interludes) that range from rock to hip/hop to soul to rap!If you love Janet, you will love this album!

I like this cd cause it is a very good cd in her early years. There isnt anything why I dont like this cd. I decided to buy it cause I had before but it had gotten stolen and so I wanted it again. Thank you. Erin

I love this song. This was the CD that was so mysterious because of her new look. I love the songs and the videos that went with some of the songs. I remember trying to learn the dance moves to the song IF when it first came out.
I still know the words to the songs when I listen to it now.

It’s sexy and raw. She really is a great artist. I could listen to it again and again.The songs change feel so that it goes from happy, to poignant, to sensual. It’s complex and lovely.

i have been a fan of janet jackson since she was first discovered for "Good Times" and have been following her career ever since. This album really opened her heart for listeners around the world. This was the album where we really me "Janet""miss Jackson".

Just loved the product, it was in good condition, the price was right. I had lots of music on my computer and one day they were all gone so i just needed to replace them at a low cost and the price was good and condition great.Thank you.

Great songs especially her single "IF" brings back memories of her starting days when she was breaking away into her own name

Took forever to receive the product. I order other products 4 days after I ordered this and received them first. Also the cd was scratch!!! I do not reccomend this ebay buyer!!

i bought two of these one for me and one for a friend they both arrived very fast and safe they were sealed New in the package can't ask for any more than that!!

There were a few songs on the cd that i was interested in. The seller had a great price, and that is why i bought it. It was a great surprise to see it shipped so fast. Everything was as described by the seller. I will be looking for more music from this person. Thank You

It was a good cd for it's time but now i guess you would say its okay.I have no gripes or groans for, i just wanted it to complete my collection that i had. I already love Janet as she is nothing that she can do is going to change that in any way.

I used to have this album and it was stolen from me. But this album I thnk is janets' best album yet to date.
