Janet Jackson - Live in Hawaii (DVD, 2002)

Janet Jackson is an unbelievable performer, and this shines through on this DVD. The choice of songs and her ability to reproduce the original amazing versions is outstanding. At some points you almost believe that she's lip-syncing, only to have a brief twist to the song or her speaking to the crowd and confirm the live content. Her looks and physique are astonishing. She's obviously very proud of her appearance, and so she should be. The audio quality is superb for a surround system, though limited to 4.1 surround in Dolby. However, the DTS version adds a further dimension.

Slight warning with respect to the opening sequence that sees her playfully running through the Hawaiian landscape, throwing her shirt to the side, and allowing a very obvious view of her breasts as she transcends through a waterfall and onto the stage. Once on stage, she is appropriately covered with a variety of colorful outfits that exploit her washboard stomach, yet blend in very well with the Hawaiian backdrop.

I love me some Janet Jackson and she didn't disappoint me. For you men who like a sexy show she pulls it off and for you women who don't hate and would love to see some moves you can put on your man get it and for all the ones who like to reminisce this will be the show for you.

I saw this video when it was first aired. I thought the performance was WAYYY off the charts. I was so surprised at how much Janet allowed us to see. Including the in-between costume changes. That was awesome. I have more of an appreciation for her, she really seems down to earth. I was also impressed that she got down and dirty with a lap dance that Beyonce' can't touch with a ten foot pole. You normally don't see this with a Jackson. I love Janet!!! This is a must see, the songs are great and her performance is outstanding.

I'm a big fan of Janet. There is just something special about her. I have all her CD's from Control to 20 Y.O. I had seen Janet in Hawaii on HBO years ago and when I had seen it on eBay, I knew I had to have it. I'm also looking for Janet's 1st 2 CD's on eBay which I have seen, but haven't made that purchase.

I love this dvd. I'm a huge janet fan. It plays like brand new. I decided to buy this dvd Becasue I already have the others needed this one to add to the collection..

Janet was at her best and this one is hard to top. The best of her album and her sexy sultry moves and groves hold you spell bound and speechless. Yoou are able to follow her on stage and even back stage as she changes costume to entice you even further.... you definitely want to watch this over and over and never want it to end. This dvd is a definite 'must have'. Go get it and enjoy... I did!!
